A Multi-Tasking Altar

I used to be really anal retentive about my altar and the work that I did there. I would always do one spell and then remove verything from the altar. Recently I have been doing alot of on-going spells with 7-day jar candles for myself and others and keeping several different things going on at once. I was just wondering if others kept candles and other ritual items on their altars going all at one time. Currently, I have three different spells, utilizing diffrent jar candles, burning all at one time. Aside from myself, there are just other things that have come up for other people that I felt the need to get going. I have a protection spell, love spell, and healing spell, with 7-day candles, all burrning right now on my altar. Is it still effective to all these things at once on one altar?

Well for Myself I don't keep an altar as I work mainly on the astral plane. However personally I believe that so long as you do not let mundane shtuff pollute your altar that you can keep different "working" items on it and be just fine.

I always have something on my altar. I hardly ever cast spells, but when I do, it's one at a time. So, no, there's not a lot going on at my altar at one time. When I'm not casting spells, the altar simply has statues, candles, stones, and other small items. I use it as center of prayer or meditation, thanksgiving, for offerings, etc.

I only have two mundain iteams on my altar. My Furbies. I have such a small room and almost no flat space so that is where they live. I take them off when I do a ritual, but but them back. I keep them there to keep the cats off too. Some of the stuff on my altar are hand blown glass and I live with 16 cats so I have to try to keep them off of there. ( I live with my mom and dad still and the cats are her's though I love them very much.)

I do most of my stuff in my head - you could say the astral plane but I don't really like to call it that. Anyway I have an alter and I have a couple of things going on sometimes but every now and again I like to give it a complete springclean or all my thoughts get mixed up and too distracted by the dirt!
