Sick with Strep Throat - energy please?

I thought we were so lucky last week when my granddaughter didn't have strep throat after all. But I just got home from taking her mother (my daughter - PaintedLayde on here) to the doctor and she DOES have strep. The doctor gave her some samples for a different antibiotic to see if that will help more than the amoxicillan she usually takes. She's had several infections in the last year and she's sure tired of getting sick and going to the doctor to get another prescription. WE both would appreciate any energy anyone can send to knock this infection out and help her get healthy so the next one doesn't knock HER out. ;) Thanks for any help. :)

could it be possible that your granddaughter is a carrier? In which case, they would still need to treat her w/antibiotics....just a thought. :hugz:

Thanks for the energies. I had not heard of children being carriers. I just did some web-browsing - very confusing. Some sites say that carriers are not contagious, other sites say they are. I suppose its possible but this is the first time my daughter has ever gotten strep throat so I don't think we'll have her daughter checked out at this time.
