Well, I suppose it will teach me for going to sleep with my necklace on, but the chain was long enough so I thought it wouldn't snap, but I guess it did, cause about half an hour ago I realised I wasn't wearing it.

I suppose after one and a half years it was time for a new one anyway. I've looked everywhere, save ripping the vacum cleaner bad open, cause I vacumed today.

Yuck I know how you feel, I lost a celtic necklace a few years ago. Chain broke. Lost another necklace a few days after that, chain broke again. I've since gone through a handful of chains and have decided I just can't wear them :(
I hope you find it! Or that it at least finds a good home somewhere heh

You're not going to believe this. I was looking for another pendant in my bedroom just now, and low and behold there's my pentagram necklace, pendant and all, hidden underneath some papers. The weird thing is, I remember taking my engagement ring off last night, but not my necklace. Very strange.

If you lose somithing in your own home chance is big you will find it again.. someday lol. I have lost a lot of stuff and sometimes after years, when you have totally forgotten you ever had it, it returns ^-^
I never lost a necklace though... I'm very carefull with my jewelry

I can relate, Ruby. For my birthday, in January, my mother bought me an exquisite silver Star of David with a chai in the centre. I loved it so much. One day, I took it off to sunbathe and I have not been able to find it since. :( It makes me so very, very sad... I still haven't told her because I'm not sure if she'll be upset or not. :-/

You never know... In the house I used to live in, I lost a book. I searched high and low for it, but it never turned up. I'm pretty sure it was in my room before I lost it, but it wasn't there after, or anywhere else in the house either. Then we moved, which involved packing everything in the house up into boxes. The book still didn't show up. I wonder what happened to it...

Luminessence,
When those kinds of things happen I start to wonder if sometimes our items get swept away into another dimension.
Other then that...I have no ideas. It's crazy how some things can disappear like that...

if you lose something try not looking for it and it shows up eventually

Faeries.

Sometimes, they suck.

I swear, they've stolen so many pairs of earrings from me it's not funny.

I haven't had problems with my chains snapping and I sleep with a necklace on lots of times.

Good for you, it's wonderful when that happens.

Once time, I could not find the necklace I was wearing anywhere. I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out where I might have lost it or where it could have fallen off. Later that evening I found it in my bra (of all places). I guess the clasp somehow came undone and it slipped right in there. I felt rather silly after finding it. I was going to recommend looking there, but I see you've already found it.

I wondered if maybe the aliens had taken it away :) There certainly didn't seem to be a better explanation... I didn't even have any friends who would have walked off with it; they all hated reading (this was when I was about twelve).

Yeah, I pretty much searched everywhere, before I found it.
