what cracks me up are the folks who say that they believe in every single god , spirit, jedi knight and ufo sighting from every single pantheon,non-related culture, and comic book ever recorded in the entire history of the humasn race except satan.

i'm tempted out of the ordinary on occassion to do things.

I think it's more of a thoughtform than an entity. Maybe an astral being decided to capitalize on the energy being focused and took the reigns, or maybe not.

I've seen more Satan inside the church than outside... False smiles and vindictively damning egos... if one is to read what the Christians' bible says on the matter, Satan is the most beautiful of angels. What better way to convey such beauty than to be the soul of a church? Or what better way for that thoughtform more concisely.

Of course this all stems from me being a proponent to most things being beyond the scope of black and white.

Okay I've come across a few things today that have made me wonder how many people believe in Satan as in the arc-angel, the nemisis of God. As in an actual being that is ssomewhere in the recesses of hell

As you may know from my posts,I dont believe in a deity. My beliefs of God and Satan are more like:
a) God represents the good and beautiful things in nature
b) Satan represents the evil and unnatural things
I dont believe in either Satan or God as actual beings.
That's just a basic outline of my beliefs on it, I will expand further as this goes on.

Everyone's opinions and discussion are welcome, but the question is especially for those Christians on MW. I'm very interested in everyone's thoughts on this.

Satan is merely the Hebrew term for "adversary" or "enemy". What is our greatest enemy, but simply our own 'lower'/'un-enlightened'/'first-born' mind, i.e. our ego/persona (Latin, 'mask').

There is nothing evil in this world which did not originate in the mind of mankind. Very very simple ~ satan = mind.

The mind is very powerful, it controls us every minute of our waking state ~ so we must learn how to use it correctly 'as a good servant', and not let it rule us as a demonic master!
