So I went back to my old high school today to visit with my old teachers. I got along with almost all of them so well, I loved so many classes, my teachers were almost like my best friends, but I particalarly loved my Latin and my Creative Writing teachers. I was so happy to see them again, I missed them both so much.

I told my creative writing teacher just how much I apprieciated what she'd done for me. I'd loved writing ever since I was able to pick up a pencil, but this woman sparked my intrest, and honed my skill more than anyone ever had before. Before I meet and learned from her I was never able to write two lines of poetry without hating it then scraping it. When we enetered the poety unit of creative writing which I had been dreading she changed all that, I suddenly understood that all poerty was are mudane things but into emotional symbols that are then translated into words. After I learned this in only the time span of a week my poems were one of the most inspiring in the whole class. I was able to tell her just how much I appricated what she'd done for me today, I left her class room feeling inspired myself that my words apperared to touch her so much.

There was another teacher back in middle school who started my love affair with art, she showed me how to find beauty in the most desperate of times, she knew how to find it becuse she to was going through a dark phase in life, like I was at that time. I'd givien up on art for years until I took her class, and in only a few month I found where I belonged in life, found what I wanted to do. I am quite sad that I don't forsee the chance to tell her how much I appericated what she did for me, as she no longer works at the middle school. I hope karma has come to her and she is now teaching art courses at a honorable college somewhere. :flowers:

So who were your inspiring teachers? Did you get the chance to tell them how much you appericated them?

I had a tendency to lock horns with most of my teachers including my kindergarten teacher.. (i have always been very opinionated and strong willed lol) i guess though the teacher that inspired me the most was my second grade teacher.. she showed us that there was nothing wrong with being an individual, standing up for yourself and that we should be ourselves no matter how different from the crowd we may be.. all the teachers at that school were old and crotchety but she was young listened to boy george (yes i was a child of the 80's lol) and all those sorts of bands she dressed differently to everyone and her hubby would often drop in to say hi to us all and we all had to call him stegosaurus.. she brought in her cat to class and I think she may have even been the teacher who brought in a bat to class.. (well one of my teachers did lol its been 20 odd years so the memories kinda meld together at times lol) but anyway heres to mrs Dadd for being the coolest teacher i ever had.. because of you i now am obsessed with lace and fishnet gloves and i thank you

my most inspiring teacher was my gr.4 and gr.6 teacher. Same woman. She was a really nice girl who i have been babysitting for for over 2 eyars. She ahs 3 little boys. Shes really nice. She alwyas tlaks to me and tells me stuff and gives me advice and everything. Its awsome, shes like my friend, and for a while, she was my only friend. Yes its weird being friends with your teacher/ someone like 3 times your age, but it was still great. All the summer days spent sitting outside with her talking to her, those were great times. And yeah, i did get a chance to tell her how much she's helped me and how much i appreciate having her in my life.

My most inspiring teacher is my current (and next year, yay!) English teacher. He is fantastic...I don't know enough vocabulary to describe how amazing that man is. I already knew I had an interest in English, but he's really caught my attention to the highest degree. English slipped from my favourite subject spot, but he shoved it back up again. His lectures are very organised and calculated, full of all kinds of information, and sometimes he tells us a funny story, which makes his lectures less dull than other teacher's. He's also quite understanding, and he is caring, if one analyses what he says and does carefully. He's lived for over sixty years on this planet, and he has so much experience, I wonder how he manages to keep it all within his mind and soul. He has been teaching for over thirty-five years, so he obviously knows how to run a class.

Sigh. I could go on about him forever, so I'll just stop there.

Another inspiring teacher is my Latin teacher. He's awesome! He's also been teaching for a while, so he's honed his teachings abilities over the years. He's one of those caring, understanding teachers who are almost always optimistic and happy. He's quite gentle, and he gives people hugs every now and then. He makes sure his pupils understand clearly whatever it is they're learning, and he really wants to see everyone succeed. He's a fantastic person to be around, and along with my English teacher, I'll be thanking him when I'm in college.

Oh, and yes, my teachers know I appreciate them, particularly the English one. I spoil him rotten!

I hate scares like that. My English teacher does AP, but he also tends to do honours, and another may do the same AP, and ... yeah. Lots of messing around with the English department in the coming years.
