Why does everything dr's do take so dang long?????

OK so I've know I was pregnant since a few days after my 4th week (took 2 hpt's) yet the dr's test didn't come out dark enough for them :collapse:

Well I had to go take a blood test and it's been weeks. I got so tired of the damn run around that I decided to go BACK to my dr's office and take another pee test!

It didn't even take a full min for both lines to show up dark as could be! It is now officially written down in a dr's office that I am truely, definitely preggo LOL *gee it was such a shock :bug:*

I made my first official OB appt as soon as I got home this afternoon. All it is, is OB intake (I have no clue what that is...If I did it with Morgaine they didn't call it that!)

I couldnt wait to get to the doctor with my first, but by my second, I wasnt in such a hurry.I didnt actually decide on a home birth till about four monthes along and thats when I found a local doctor who trained in holland that was willing to come to one. Before that I think I saw my family doctor sporadically. With my third, I knew if I wanted a midwife, I had to get an appointment before I was 6 weeks or they would be filled up.

I couldnt wait to get to the doctor with my first, but by my second, I wasnt in such a hurry.
I probably wouldn't be in such a hurry if I wasn't high risk. But I like to be on the ball with things and make sure everything is going as well as possible asap.

I had an appointment with an OB in Atlantic City for the 2nd of June and I just really was not happy with waiting that long if I didn't have to so I called the OB office I used with my daughter and got an appt. for next Weds, which I'm very happy about ;)

I think many times women just have that feeling / gut instinct

With my 1st, I knew I was, but at the dr's there was confusion ( for them) about my dates..
after with my next three, I didnt go to be checked..I knew..and just waited, and enjoyed
