Cleaning metal&bead necklace

I have a necklace with small bead chips (clear transparant, no color), I think they are quartz crystal,
- how can I be sure it IS quartz crystal
- they are on a metal wire, but that wire turned back and the holes in the beads to (I want to put them in a new necklace) so is there any way to clean this? they are really small holes
- if I put them in a new necklace, what is the best material to use for a necklace with quartz crystal, I think that metal might interupt the energy, but it also can be a conducter holding energy...
I don't know that much about quartz either, is it a projective or a receptive stone? I did a quick search on google but most sites say both? (doesn't make much sense to me, like saying something can be full and empty at the same time)

the projective/receptive thing is scam in terms of stone energy work, better forget it.
you can only be sure it is quartz (and not glass) if you have a gemologist look at it
but it is quite possible it is clear crystal quartz.

if you want to make a new bead you can combine clear quartz to any other stone, because it has the capability to enforce the other stones forces.

very suitable is a combination with other quartzes, because thus the stones have the same hardness and will not scratch each other
here si a variety of other common quartz stones:
rosequartz, amethyst, aventurine, agate, carnelian, citrine, tigers eye, falcons eye

as for cleansing:
if it is still on the wire, you can rinse it under running tab fresh-water
it might corrode the metal parts though, so in case you need to keep them, just put the bead on hematite stones, for 24hrs.

The inside of the beads turned black because of the metal. I'm not a specialist on gems so I better start learning something about them then ^-^.
Would it be alright to put them in cola and then rince them to try to remove the black? I can always try with one first...
I don't think just water will be good enough to remove that.

sure you can try it.- cola will not hurt the chips be they glass or crystal

silver channels energy pretty well (adding moon vibe)
copper channels energy very well (adding venus vibe)
