View Full Version : Psychic Vampirism for Fun!

Ok, my best friend has agreed to let me 'steal' some of his life force, because I promised to give it back to him afterwards. It sounds like a really fun game, letting me test my abilities with psychic attacks, and letting him test his defences.
Has anybody ever tried this 'game' before? I would love to have any hints on visualization techniques people use. My own method involves first seeing my friend's aura, then closing my eyes and visualizing a long thread coming from his aura to mine. I pull from his aura, and watch it diminish, absorbing into my own. My eyes move rapidly while I'm doing this, almost like being in REM sleep.
I'm not sure if it worked the first time I tried it, because I didn't want to harm him, never tried this before, and he also later told me he put a barrier up (never realized he knew how to until that night!). But he also felt somewhat dizzy, and I felt a slight burst of energy that lasted for like 30 minutes.

It might be a game, but I'd rather describe it as an excercise.
Yes, I let people practice their skills on me. Especially new healers, who need a subject to try a thing or two, shouldn't go out and start unleashing their influence on just anybody. They should be guided and try it on a "dummy" first. Being the teacher, I volunteer to be the dummy.

I've done similar exercises, but never one where I draw energy off of another person to return it to them. Usually it's more of sending out energy and sharing energy.

Maybe I should ask about practicing with people who are more knowledgable at my (everyday) local Wiccan Church. I know somebody who might be able to help me get better at it, certainly if he has some time to spare! :)

I've never played the "game" at all. I would love the practice my skills. People I know may volunteer, but they wouldn't know how to protect themselves, so I wouldn't want to try- just incase. Of course, I'd try and teach them to protect themselves, but I dont know my own strength. I wouldn't want to do anything potentially dangerous.
Besides, I get really empathy sometimes. If Im in a bad mood, I'll accidently drain someone, or let someone drain me anyway. :foopsies:

A friend of mine and I do this all the time; well to be more accurate, I often make her very unhappy/happy depending on my mood. It's rather entertaining :jumprope:

You have a giving friend. Personally, I never played any of these games before, but do share with us how they go.

My boyfriend lets me drain his energy sometimes. I generally imagine drawing the energy into my solar plexus (I don't know why; that's just what feels natural). I usually start out by tying it to my breathing, pulling the energy into me as I breathe in, and once I've started the connection I can generally keep it going. The energy doesn't usually make me hyper; instead, it gives me a deeper sort of energy (sort of like the difference between a sugar high and the energy you get from regular food).

I usually draw from the earth, same concept, you just visualize the energy coming up from underneath you, I can see doing it as a healer, but in general I don't draw from other people.
Similiar concept- A lot of times I'll end up with GFs who hav too much energy and I'll allow them to 'vent' some of it on me. I don't draw they generally push.

Great practice. It's good that you have a study/play friend!
