The Tribe of the Diasporas are presenting a "Barefeet Beats" performance at the 24th street theatre 1117 West 24th st. all ages 8-10:30 pm. Best I can tell *got the flyer last nite* is it's an african dance style group of people *20 or so acts/groups* who do the equivalent of freestyle poetry/music performances that go in the coffee houses around here, in african dance. Cool day, cool idea. There is a 5$ donation of canned foods, clothing, office and school supplies, toys, blankets.
I saw some of the dancing last nite and it was pure energy, so I really want to go see this performance!!
