Any thoughts and or impressions on the Goddess Saule?? I believe she is a sun goddess. My one main question is some list her as Baltic and some list her a Celtic.. are Baltic and Celtic one and the same and I am missing something or are they completely different? If they are different, where does she fit??

That's all I have for now.

This is what I got from my "Goddesses in World Mythology" :

Saule
Slavic; Lithuania
Sun and Day; Mother and Guardian; Household Affairs; Arts; Disorder.
"Sun." Benevolent deity who presides over childbirth and cares for orphans. She is associated with spinning, weaving, laundering and music.
*Saule, the sun, and her husband Meness, the moon, did not get along well because they were such opposites. They separated after the birth of their daughter, the Earth. Now Saule watches over her during the day, and Meness watches over her at night.
She is the mother of Ausrine. In Latvia she is called Saules-Mäte. See also Saules Meitas.

Ok.. so we know that they aren't the same thing (celtic & baltic) and it seems HorseCrow also found sites that listed Saule as a Baltic Goddess. I was wondering if anyone knew of a site that would list Saule's symbols, you know like her colors, herbs, offerings ect. I found a site for another one of my Goddess I am researching, but I don't remember the address and I did not write it down. So any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

No, it is not from a site. It is from the book "Goddesses in World Mythology". It has info on more than 11.000 goddesses.

Her symbol is amber, her colours are red and silver, her herb is the fern and daisy.
