Have you created a spread? Share it! We want to try it!
What do you need to create a spread?
1. Theme: will it be a general spead? Love spread? Money spread? Career spread? Relationship/family spread? Friends spread? Spiritual spread? Intellect spread? Passion spread? Emotions spread? Stability spread? .....what ever it is you are looking for, define it.
2. What questions do you want it to answer?: How does s/he feel about me? What obstacles do I have to overcome? Will getting this job hurt me in the long run? Do you want to include past present future positions? Is it more time related? Will you need to use seasons or months? Do you want to include a "timing position"? (for this position, I would have it away from the rest of the spread....sort of out there in left field.....and then use the number to signify days/months.....and the suit to signify season (Pentacles: autumn, Wands-spring, Cups-summer, Swords-winter.....or what ever works best for you. I would say if a Major showed up in that position, then the "lesson" related to the card will need to be learned before anything comes about.)
Okay....how many questions within the teme do you have? Are there any that could be merged into together? (like it you have 12 questions.....but don't want that large of a spread) for each question, layout/define a position.....play with it until you are comfortable with the symmetry of the layout. Will you read the spread in numerical order?
***********~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~************
Okay....you pretty much have it then! Here is the one I made up for Samhain. :D (let's just call this one...Samhain Overview) :D
Lay them out in numerical order:
.........7
1.................6
......2.....3
5.................4
Read them in this order:
7. This year's Major Influence
1. Samhain seasonal influences
2. Imbolc seasonal influences
3. Beltaine seasonal influences
4. Lughnasagh seasonal influences
5. This year's obstacle
6. This year's achievements
So, join in! Create-A-Spread! :p

When I want to know how a situation is effecting me on different levels I do this spread.
----------------1
-----------2--------3
----------------4
I read from 4 - 2 - 3 - 1.
4. How it affects me physically
2. How it affects me emotionally
3. How it affects me mentally
1. How it affects me spiritually
Hope more people will share their ideas.

Great thread  & Brilliant spreads!
I havent really made up any of my own spreads befor because I generally just go with impulse and make the questions more like spreads.. asking a few questions and drawing three cards one after another.
But ;) Ive just thought of a relationship spread, it just came to me, I typed it out here, and then shuffled :boing: & it worked for me :D
Think of your relationship with another and shuffle the cards... then when you feel the time is right, fan out the cards and pick 8
Lay them out in order like this ~ to form a heart!
----1----7
-------8------
---2-------6
-----3---5
-------4
1) The relationship at present?
2) What do I add to this relationship?
3) What should I add more off?
4) What is this relationship based on? (the foundation)
5) What could change?
6) What are the possibilities?
7) What will happen next?
8) The Future, the heart of the relationship.
Warning! Could be pretty deep and revealing ;) But you know you can always change this as a result of the cards!

I just made up a new one for my boss who's taking a new job - and it worked quite well. Only the 2nd spread I've done for him.
9 cards, 2 each in positions North, South, East, West, one in the center
New Job Energies:
... ... .1. .2. ... ...
... ... ... ... ... ...
.7. .8. ..9. ..3.. .4.
... ... ... ... ... ....
... ... .5. .6. ... ...
North (C1-2) The job itself, general view
East (C3-4) Difficulties you may encounter
South (C5-6) Where your main energies will be needed
West (C7-8) The people you will be dealing with
Center (C9) Overall view of the whole situation - key to success
I like to do spreads that use the correspondences with NSEW, and I like to use multiple cards instead of one to gather more insights.

Not a new spread, but a modification that I use with the Celtic Cross and I guess could work with other spreads. After I'm done laying out the spread, I take the bottom card and put in the lower left corner. The bottom card is the card that has the least relevance to the current situation -- but a lot of the time I find people are frantically wasting time and effort dealing with that very subject! This basically means that the person should try to de-emphasize that aspect of their life and concentrate on the matter at hand.

Merry meet Demeter! :D
Thats sounds really interesting!! But can I ask ~ is it the bottom card of the last four? Or the bottom card of the first part (the cross)?
Id love to try that out! :)

Dagda; years ago, when I used to do Tarot readings, I found one that always had something unexpected in it. The spread consited of laying out 16 cards in a circle and read according to the Sidereal Houses in an Astrology chart. In the center was two cards, the first one was face down while the top card was face up. The card faced down represented a factor unknown to the spread. The card face up represented the crux of the situation. You might try this one and see what you think.

Don't remember where I got it from, I'd been using it forever !
One card per letter of your name...
I sometimes just use my first name, but if I want an in-depth
reading(as much as I can do for myself!)
I will use first middle and last names.
The meanings are basically easy.
Say your name has five letters:
1) Distant past
2) Recent past
3) Going thru now
4) Near future
5) Distant future
For full name, you can do this 1-5 for each name
or 2-4 for the names
