Full Moon! YAY!

Sorry, I'm sure most of you are aware that tonight is a full moon, but I'm especially happy about it this month! :dancy:

I had a horrible day, but now it's night time and I'm uber happy! I would just like to say how much I love the moon. Tonight at midnight, if I'm awake, I want to go up onto my roof and do a tarot reading and burn a white candle in celebration!

Does anyone else here celebrate the full moon? I'm sure to an extent most of us do, but does anyone have anything in particular? Just curious.

Yep. I did a ritual tonight, worked a little magic, enjoyed myself surrounded by candles and such. Way too cold and windy to go outside, and no windows facing the moon, either, but I felt the energy, anyway. And tonight, when I walked to work (working the midnight - 8am shift), I couldn't resist gazing upon her beauty....

My energy and spirit always soar on the full moon - this month was no exception.

Working with the public, I always make a point to do a quick protection spell on the morning of a full moon, and I anoint/re-energize my pentacle charm. Some of my worst working days are full moon days. The crazies really do come out! :ahhhh:

we celibrated this flower moon by doing a round robin story telling, for creativity. it was fun. it took longer than normal to get the story to finish but still intresting. we had a few newpeople in our cricle so the energies from those people were very pleasant and i hope to work with them again.

Loving it!!!! Full moon and my birthday on the 26th. I love it when the full moon is that close to my birthday. It'll be a fun birthday here. Already got an energy buzz going.

I hate the full moon. My spirit soars right before it and then I feel wretched for a few days. Today I feel particularly horrible and if I could tear that miserable thing out of orbit I would.

That wouldn't be a good idea. All life on Earth would cease to exist if the moon was gone.

I just tend to look up at the sky and marvel at the beauty of it. I guess that's how I celebrate anything...by noticing it and quietly saying, "Thank you for being."

The full moon on May 23rd was special to me this year. It marked my daughter's 8th birthday. She was the first one to notice, a full month in advance, that the full moon would fall on her birthday. And we celebrated it much the same way, with a hug and a kiss and a whispered, "Thank you for being."

Just curious, what is it about the moon that so effects people? Some folks like myself usaully feel good around the full moon...but what of those who don't? Those who get all weirded out and such like? And what about those criminals that go bonkers on the full moon? Why does the moon effect people differently?

I have no idea, but that's a good question. I'd like to know too.
