Hi! It's May! Actually, it's the END of May!

And it's 43 outside. With winds up to 30 miles per hour, the ambient temperature is 36. Oh yeah, almost forgot, it's pouring outside as well.

Umm, Operator? I'm calling for SPRING. Yes, I'll hold.

I feel your pain. It's a bit warmer here, as I'm farther south than you. Still, I don't enjoy 53 degrees at the end of May.

Sorry KD--that sun will shine soon, I'm sure!

Yipes.. Now you all know why we left Rhode Island in April! We had quite enough of the crappy, cold Northeastern weather in pretty much 30 years of living there. Hubby's never left there, but I on the other hand, have been all over. ANYPLACE is better than that cesspool.

We're having beautiful weather here in Memphis, so I've got some to spare for you! It's currently 71 degrees, and it's almost 11:30PM. ::insert content sigh here::

Its in the mid 80's here in Florida. Already hot and sunny. I'd like to live somewhere where the temp stays in the high 60's year around :( Is there such a place??

It is cooler up here!
Really nice though, in my opinion.
And I think it has something to do with the sky...
The sky moves faster up here than it does down south.

And that is why I don't live further north! It's been in the 60s and 70s here and I'm still freezing! The heat is still on occasionally in my house. :santasmil

Am I the only person who LIKES cold and rainy weather? Seriously, I do. I like to hibernate a bit on these types of days with my tea, a kitty or two and good book (and MW!). Plus I don't handle hot or sunshine very easily (almost an albino - I'm not white, I'm CLEAR!)

Spring is great, but if it never got over 80 degrees, I'd love it here. Come August, I'm one miserable pagan. I've seriously considered moving to Alaska or Washinton State so it would be cold and 'precipitous' most of the year.

I feel your pain. It's the same here in NY....totally sucks. I'm holding out for spring myself, I think here we've had about 5 days over 70 since the beginning of April, and that might be stretching it.

I'm with you. Here in Maine it has been raining for...um, a week now. A few weeks ago it got up to 70 but for the last several days the high has been in the 40's. I bought plants this weekend and I've had to hide them in the garage all week so they don't freeze to death. I might as well have waited because it's supposed to be like this for the indefinite future.

This sucks!

its 53 and just stopped raining, still windy, but isnt spring supposed to be unpredictable???

Alaiyo

It often is in the Northeast and people who live here know to expect the unpredictability and deal with it.

I don't like hot weather, but I don't like cold weather either. The perfect climate for me would be one where it never went below 60 or above 80. (I especially dislike hot weather, actually, because it drains my energy. Especially when it's humid as well, and it's always really humid here in the summer.) I love the fall and the spring, but hate the summer and the winter. And I don't like this incessant rain... it's making me tired...

I must have been away for far too long....(just moved back to Philly, PA after being away for 16 years) I don't ever remember it being this cold nearing June....perhaps my memory faded.

Had I been still in Louisiana...it'd be in the 80's by now and my magnolia's and gardenia's would be a'blooming. Dang I miss that...but I would trade my snow or Fall season for it though.*sighs*

It sure is tough having yearly temperatures that can be anywhere from the high 40's once every few years and the low 100's about twice a year while the rest of it is 70's-80's

I'm a southern California surfer boy. 40 degrees is cold to me. When it was -2 in February, I thought I had died and gone to hell.

It damn well better be sunny for my birthday! (May 30 ^.^)

Ah yes.. I remember those temps all too well. That's when I turned to the Hubby and said "Soooo.. We're getting out of here, right?" Even though I was born in Connecticut, I am definitely not built for the cold weather. RI's weather is so horrible too, whatever the meteorologists forecasted, we always dressed for the opposite.

Got a little too much of the white stuff too for our tastes.

My little sister lives in CT, and said that she's had to pile layer upon layer on her baby just to take her out for a few minutes, like to the store or whatever.

It's freaking May! I hope you all warm up there soon.

Try living in Minnesota during the depths of winter. This winter it dropped to a -35 degree wind chill one night. Currently I have not seen the sun in a week it has been cloudy and damp. I would much rather deal with Northeastern weather then that of Minnesota.

Ok guys....hold on now. It's finally happened. Not sure how long it's going to last, but fasten your seat belts. SPRING will be here this weekend. There is a chance of showers everyday, but tomorrow may actually reach 70....or higher!! Upper 60's on Sunday and 70 again on Monday!! FINALLY !!

It was colder here the other day than it was on New Year's Day! I've so had enough !!

I wish. The part of NH I live in is either always raining, snowing, overcast, or windy. There is almost never a day in the summer where I can run around in shorts and a top without my legs freezing because of the wind. o.O

And yet, my family and I still swim. ^^

Like a buddy of mine always says about New Hampshire and Vermont... 9 months of winter, 3 months of bad skiing.
