This is from a great book I have called "Tarot Games" by Cait Johnson and Maura Shaw
I haven't tried these yet...but I intend to start!
Enjoy!
Magic Wand
Mix the cards, allowing them to absorb your personal energy. Place the deck face down in front of you and begin to turn over the cards, one at a time, until you find a wand card. If you get a wand within the first five cards, then your sense of personal power is strong and manifesting without significant blocks at this time. The Magic Wand card that appears can show you where you feel strongest. The preceding cards give informion on your sources of empowerment and the ways you manifest in the world.
If you turn over more than five cards before finding your Magic Wand, then look at the preceding cards to find insights about possible energy blocks, or for areas that need special attention.
If you are feeling unsure of your direction, Magic Wand may help you to determine the steps you need to take to regain your wholehearted power and will. If you play it in the company of good friends who know the circumstances of your live, they may give you helpful interpretations of the cards that you might not have seen immediately. And it's good to remember that your choices--how you use your Magic Wand--are yours alone. All of us are magic wands, in the sense that we are channels for power and energy to be used for the good of all.

Hmmm....blocks.....
A Wand card was the 8th card I drew. <grumble, grumble>
4 of Swords, King of Pentacles, 2 of Swords, Tower, 2 of Pentacles, Queen of Cups, Queen of Swords, 9 of Wands.
Hmm.....I know I've been frustrated (4 of Swords~mental rest) at work alot due to my boss (King of Pentacles).
I've been trying to hone my skills and look within while protecting myself (2 swords) emtionally.
The tower shows of all the uphevel and the emotional rollar coaster ride I've been on due to things beyond my control.
I've been trying to get my fanances back within my grasp to budget and balance things out. (2 of Pentacles)
I feel I'm at the edge of another, deeper level of intuitiveness/intuition, but there's some sort of block that. I have to discover the block, and make a decision or two. (Queen of Cups)
(Queen of Swords) Mentally, I am calling out and/or seeking the answers to be presented in some logical fashion. Maybe that is part of the block from the previous card. I try to reason it all out....when I should be going with my gut.
Magical Wand: Nine of Wands: my interpretation of this card is that it's time to sit back and let things come to you. You've been successful but not without a few bumps and bruises along the way. Ready to meet the next challenge.
Okay.....that's what I came up with.
Anyone else want to share theirs??

Wow, my magic wand was the second one pulled!!! :D
I pulled the 5 of Wands and the first card I pulled was the High Priestess
So, the High Priestess is telling me that my high power level comes from knowing myself and allowing the exploration of self to create my reality
the 5 of Wands says that I am successfully intergrating this new level of personal awareness... :D
GREAT!
That was sooo fun!

I really like this spread...different...thanks
My Magic Wand card was the second one I drew...wow! It was The six of Wands Success
I sum this one up to the fact that I have reached the goals I set forth on at the turning of the wheel last year.
The first card I drew was the 8 of Cups Abandonment
This makes a lot of sense..I recently moved and feel as if I've left behind some friends and family..on retrospect I see that they have abandodned me...they don't return my calls and turn down my invites...I have resigned myself to the fact that they have moved on and I need to as well...the cards have been telling me for some time to break free from my past...

I drew 4 of Cups, 5 of Swords, 7 of Disk, Fool, & 10 of Wands.
4 of Cups - a relationship in completion, family.
5 of Swords - think things through, a beginning, middle, & end, completion again.
7 of Disk - recognizing differences, awarness of unique difference.
Fool - beginnings, new adventure, starting point.
10 of Wands - having pride in what I do, gathering all my strengths to its proper conclusion, using all my resources, another sense of completion.
I'm getting a sense that everything is starting to come to a full circle for me. Drawing in all my resources and everything I've worked for and learn through all the years of seeking are starting to make sense. Nothing I've learned or worked at in the past is wasted...no matter how trivial it seemed at the time.
Wow! This is the first time I've tried to do more than a one card reading for myself that seems to make sense! Am I reading these cards right?

ooh, the very first card I turned was the Ace of Staves (ie. wands). This promises new beginnings, inspiration, growth, and action.

The wand card was my second card...
My first was princess of coins, the second a reversed two of wands.
Well... I guess the reversed two of wands are telling me to lay low, just like I do, and avoid too many conflicts, just like I usually do. And the princess of coins I guess is describing myself right now I guess.... wonder if this little reading will turn out differently in say a week? Gotta try this in a weeks time and see what will turn up then... :)
Thanks Xois for sharing :)

I did this one twice cuz the first time I forgot to write down the 7 cards before I drew the 8 of wands.. 8O Then on my second one I pulled: 7 of Swords, Page of Pentacles (in my last 3 readings for myself, this one has come up each time... ), The Moon, Queen of Cups, 10 of Pentacles, and the 6 of Wands.
I found it interesting that each time the wand that was drawn was the same number as the place it was drawn (6th card, 6 of Wands, etc)..

Yeah Flaire that is a bit spooky!
I drew mine with my second card ~ 5 of wands ~ fight fire with fire that is saying to me ~ toughen up and go for all your ambitions!
My first was the Four of Cups ~ which came up in my last reading as present ~ thinking allot, dreaming, loosing interest in things, talking with friends, needing support.. I have to just get out there and go for it the five of wands is now telling me!
Thanks that was great :D

de-lurking to say this is an awesome spread. ;)
I pulled Death and then the Knight of Wands, so I'm assuming this means I shouldn't resist change, to go travel and be adventurous like I want to, and things will work out for the best...
heheh, either that, or the Knight is referring to the guy I'm currently involved with, who, on a related note, just bought me the Vertigo tarot... this one is a keeper ;)

hey Silver :) it's based on the Sandman comics by Dave McKean and Neil Gaiman. I just love it because the art is so macabre and dark (and Neil Gaiman is my favorite author, to boot, anything he has a hand in is amazing). you're right, I bet it WILL be great to read with... I should get it on Samhain, I can hardly wait! :D
