In need of guidence...

I'm unfamilliar with a lot of different Gods and Godesses and was wondering who I should look to for this one thing... When I was 11 years old, I was sexually abused by my brother-in-law and ever since then I haven't been able to let it go. I'm always haunted by it and just can't seem to let it go. I've developed a fear for men... I can't even be in the same room as my father alone. I know that I won't be harmed but I can't help it... I'm about to get married in November and I really don't want to be afraid of my husband. Please... I need guidence. Thanks.

I'll assume you've been to some sort of counseling for this problem already. If you have'nt I suggest that you do so.
That out of the way, off the top of my head I'd say Lilith. There's been quite a bit said about her in the Gods/Godesses thread,check it out.
I think it would depend on whether you're looking for protection,healing or something else. Look around on the G/G thread,maybe you'll find someone who will strike you :rubhead:

Persephone is also a good goddess to call on. Just make an offereing to her. If you are into the orisha I would say Chango for courage. Yemaya to soothe you or Oshun to help you love men again. I am so sorry that you went through that pm me if you want to talk I was molested when i was 12 so I can relate somewhat.

I was sexually abused as a little kid by our neighbor/babysitter, so I know the feeling.
As for Goddesses to maybe look into, I've found Diana to be wonderful, to me she's a symbol of strength and beauty, the realization that you are yourself, independent and beautiful, strong and compassionate, to me: amazing in every way. She's helped me get through many things, when I need strength in any situation it's her that I call upon. I hope you and your husband have an amazing life together, and that you realize that he's there for you, that he wont hurt you. Stay Strong. :hugz:

I'll tell you what. If you really have a problem. Like really, I sugest that you confront the Fuker that did that to you. Yea you probably shouldn't be alone then. But its like a restless spirit. If it wont leave you alone you should Put it to rest. Maybe you have know idea where he or she is.... Then yea diffinatly pray then. But you should take that person down. Because there is something wrong with them if they would do something like that .
