Have you ever sworn a deity spoke to you through someone you have a random encounter with, or even someone you see every day? For example...
I had prayed to my Goddess a few nights ago (well, this all happened last week, just for the record) because I was going through a tough time and was basically scared out of my wits. The next day at school I was standing in the bathroom and this girl walked in (I don't even know her) looked me straight in the eyes and said, "Don't ever be scared. You're a warrior. You can kick anyone's ass." And walked out.
Which sounds EXACTLY like something my Goddess would say.
So has that ever happened to anyone?

one time I was in front of a store waiting for a ride and she was late. I was worried because she is NEVER late. I prayed to the spirits to give me a sign. At that exact moment a baby that was next to me started to cry. The mother said to the baby , "Jason don't worry so much our ride is just stuck in traffic." (what is wierd is that Jason is my name) Coincidence....maybe but I don't like to think so.

LOL....joy upon joy! This topic fills me with much joy! Wonderful share you two!
Yes, actually...it has happened to me and actually I have been used in that way too.
I think it happens very frequently....one only needs to open and listen with the inner ear to hear that truth.
If you are walking a path with the one eye open and your inner ear open...you will begin to see almost all conversations are with the Divine.
I hope this does not sound arrogant to any of you...it is just a fact I live with....and it is not mine alone it is everyones and everyone is that Divinity.
When it first started happening in my life about 12 years ago ) it was communication that just stuck out and struck me with awe, just really jolted my awareness to what was up....I started seeing this with the TV and the Radio as well and in other ways also.
I discovered this was Mercury at work, relaying messages for the Pantheon....soon, I began to see..... it just was......, that it was like instant dial your Diety up and talk.LOL. Oh joy!
I have never heard any of my Dieties in my head but I sure have had conversations with them while they were in someone else.
Just waite until you get the urge to just speak to a stranger...like that girl spoke to you Shadowsong. That one will trip you out.
It still gets me....especially when it is a complete stranger....oh man...I brake out in a sweat and the only thing that eases that feeling is to just go ahead and say it...what a relief when I do, too! It is not always heavy the message...I have been used to bring joy and laughter into someones life ( or into an aspect of the Divinities life, I really should write) as well with a playful spirit come over me...or to ease the feeling of loniliness in them ( as is with many elderly peoples....and they really look at you...you can tell they see it for what it is...it is awsome to see their eyes look deep into yours....searching, Divinity searching Divinity in there...it is a beautiful sight to behold.) Sorta wierd, because you are still you but you are more or divine too.
Gosh....maybe I say too much......
This is bliss!
Blessings for you on your path!

Hahaha. That's cute. It's like speed dial. :P
I can't think of instances like that in my head, but I've had similar things. Certain tarot cards or statements will keep popping up to me. One of the statements was from this little book I have that has hundreds of wisdom-related quotes in it, and one day, I kept turning to the quote 'Know thyself' (Temple of Apollo at Delphi). It was a nice reminder of Apollo. :)

Should this surprise you?
Every voice is the voice of god.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

I on the other hand would disagree.

If that is the case, there are a hell of a lot of stupid gods out there. ;)

Please tell me that's not seriously meant. I'd rather not have my mother's voice as a voice of a God or Goddess. If she ever is, Someone has been really angry and wanted to make my life Hell.

I think it's quite possible - in fact, I think it's of the more frequent ways the gods speak to us. :)
Edit: There's an article on the ADF about just this sort of thing, I thought you might like to read, found here (http://www.adf.org/articles/gods-and-spirits/panvisit.html)

This is normal. It happens to me all the time. Usually, when confused, I'll get an answer in some form or another from the world. I have a better understanding of the issues I face this way then having two hour conversations with my Priest. *shrugs*
To me, it reinforces the connectivity of the world. The butterfly effect and all that. ;P

I have had this happen to me, and I have been the vehicle for it to happen to others.

I can see where that's coming from; first, it doesn't suprise me but just shocked me a little; I don't really think it's happened before, or so clearly, like smack-in-the-face clarity, you know?
Secondly, I can see what you're saying but I can't agree. I mean, do you really think that every single god speaks through one deity alone (well, Ok, maybe not that) rather, through any/everything They choose? So... For example.... Loki could choose to speak to me through my hard-bum straight-laces grampa?
It's an interesting point; if I'm misinterpreting it please correct me. :)

Yeppers.... Can't think of a particular incident right off the bat, but sometimes there are just little things that occur around me that are beyond coincidence.
