Spellcrafting....help please.

I'd like to do a spell to improve my vision. My prescription seems to be deteriorating quicker than what suits me!

I've thought about using carrots in the spell....since they are suppose to improve your vision as the myth(?) goes.

I don't know what colors to use for candles. White is the majority of what I have...but I do have other colors.

Any ideas??

Okay....and for the next one....My SO works out of state most the time....and I never know where he is. (what hotel/motel he's at) I just know approximately what city.....but they jump jobs often too...so sometimes I don't even know that. I want to create a spell.....for him to call me, when I feel I need to talk to him. Sometimes we set up which day he'll call....other times we don't and he calls me whenever....which is about once or twice a week. But sometimes, I just need to hear his voice. So....I thought of using....okay this will sound weird.....a banana in the spell....it reminds you of a phone.....and it's yellow for communication. Other than that.....I can't think of anything else.

Any ideas for that one??

Incantations would be helpful to....just to get my creative thoughts flowing.

Carrots, if I understand correctly, contain beta carotene, which is essential to good eyesight, so that's not a myth. I would think that's an excellent choice. A white candle can be used for anything and might be useful for you, or you might pick your favourite colour to help you focus on loving to be able to see.

I'd say... put carrot juice on an orange candle...

For communication, use these Runes: Ansuz (communication), Eiwaz (transcends time & space), Sowulo (represents electrical energy, the means by which a telephone carries your voice), & Othala (home, as in 'phone home'). Carve them into a candle, or project them to the SO.

I'm shooting from the hip here, but the principle here is sound...

What a great idea, Dagda. My vision is terrible, and seems to deteriorate more and more each year. Carrots in the spell is a wonderful idea. As far as the color candle - maybe you could use a candle to match the color of your eyes. Otherwise, isn't fire associated with sight? You could use a red candle.
