The Snake
The snake is an ancient and revered symbol of healing and regeneration. This game spread is ideal for those times when you feel itchy in your skin, ready to peel off and begin again. If you are at a turning point, snake can help to guide the way by giving you information about your way of approaching things.
So if you need a change or you are thinking of starting something new, try playing Snake—she will affirm your path of personal evolution
The Play:
Mix the cards, sending your personal energy and openness into the deck. Then choose five cards at random and lay them out in the following pattern:
Card 1: Beginning—my usual approach, or one that would be helpful to me now
Card 2: What I carry—my baggage or challenge
Card 3: AT my center
Card 4: Motivating force—what propels me forward
Card 5: What I leave behind
Pay special attention to the relationship between card 1 and 2: One often bring clarity to the meaning of the other. Reversed cards are also significant in this game: They are often indications of issues that need to be dealt with before you can progress.

Card 1: Beginning—my usual approach, or one that would be helpful to me now --Heirophant (R)
Card 2: What I carry—my baggage or challenge Fool (0)
Card 3: AT my center--Ace of Wands (R)
Card 4: Motivating force—what propels me forward--9 wands

So, here is the interpertation:

Xois these are great! :D Thanks!
I've consulted my sssssnake and she did bring some clarity to the 1 & 2 cards! ~
1: my usual approach ~ 2 of Pentacles ~ Very true, work hard but trying to keep the balance and not get too carroed away!
2: my baggage or challenge ~ Queen of Cups ~ True too! Love always gets in the way!
3: my center ~ Justice ~ again trying to balance and justify everything! thinking too much...
4: what propels me forward ~ The Hierophant ~ Awww wicked ~ who am I? My search for questions, spirituality and life answers.
5: What I leave behind ~ Four of Swords ~ hmm this one got me at first ~ resting by myself, spending time with myself, meditation, self communication.
Xois ~ Does the book describe 5 anymore? Im not I understand it?

LOL
Yeah, not to mention it fits my sunny outlook. I'm a pretty up-beat person. ;)
Justice? That's quite honorable! When I draw cards that represent friends, I view that as an honest friend.....they help keep you in balance and on the right path. ;) I think it fits you quite well! :sunny:

The book doesn't offer any more explanation...
but this spread was what you should do IF you wanted a new start...i guess its over all just to shake you out of your routine by showing you WHAT is your routine...

here is the rest!
Card 2--my baggage--Fool
Having too much faith that things will work out right instead of taking an active role in initiating change
Card 3: my center A of Wands (r) my creative wellspring, within myself. Internal and infinate adaptibility...mutability
Card 4 Motivating force-- 9 wands I have successfully intergrated my vaiours selves which I present to the world. I am seen as a natural person and becuase of that, people trust me and this allows me to reach my goals. I try to be true to who I am and what I present to the outside world.
Card 5: what I leave behind--Queen of Swords (r)--Wow, amazing!
What this card basically says is that I have been able to adjust and adapt, to let go of, some unrealistic expectations and reached a level of intellectual maturity! I hope this means I finish my thesis soon! :D
Great spread! I really like this one...

I am jealouse too...I always think of MY card as the Sun. Don't know why
I always associate that card with mental and intellectual energy...which I have really be working with lately (with the thesis and my MA) which has been very rewarding...
I even wear an amber ring...I am just totally saturated with Sun / intellectual energy
Maybe once I finish my thesis, I can work with Moon / intution...but I am pretty satisified with my sun energy work..
I do'nt really work with deity...rather with the elements...so I have been spending a lot of time with the element fire too
The expansion of the intellect is very much a fire attribute, I think...
Cheers

The Ace of wands is really the same as the Sun in many ways! So dont worry! id say it very much the same as the Sun :sunny:
(now Im really jealous! :T ;) I got air! lol, sorry to Air people (I do like you all!) but Im not really attuned myself to air that much...)
Yeah, I think of fire as a ambitious, creative and mind inspiring force too! & have never reallt thought of it as an expansion of intellect ~ but now I do :) Thanks again!
This is a great spread!

I found this reading to be very clear and interesting as well as inspiring for cards 3-5. 1 and 2 puzzled me at first. I suppose 1 reminds me to look for a position that is challenging and expressive and that may involve design and development (ie. web design, which is my thing anyway, and I'd do it full time if I could). Perhaps 2 represents that I have to accept that it's time for a new beginning and realizing I deserve to be prosperous, then again it could also refer back to my thinking about pregnancy vs work lately.
3, my center, is as always the strength and support I find in my fiance and also perhaps my developing my "calm authority" in situations. 4 is obvious, and 5 probably represents the discomfort and struggle I've been in thinking I can't find a job and feeling worthless for it.
1. Queen, Cups - Emotion, beauty, art, love, and expression
2. Ace, Swords - Prosperity, fertility, and generosity, a new beginning
3. King, Swords - My fiance
4. The Sun - Success
5. Five, Swords - Discomfort, struggle, thoughts of defeat

I was just looking at this and perhaps the first should be kept as how I usually approach the situation and a second one should be added of how should I, as they could be different and it could be useful to know the difference.
