View Full Version : I am an Evil Witch!

I was sitting on the commuter train going home from work. The trip usually takes about 35 mins. I find it a good time to unwind & I like to read or go over my tarot cards. I was going over my tarot cards last night. A man sat down across from me. He looked at the cards in my hands & ask what they were. I told him (nicely) that they were tarot cards. You should have seen him cringed! He yells out "those are evil!" I told him no & tried to explain. He replied with "you're an evil witch!" At that point, I laughed & said I guess I am! He got up & moved to the other end of the train & I got the whole area to myself. :D I just love it when these thing happened! 8O

on the bus nobody likes me but a few people. jessica's a good friend but usually only rides in the morning. and glenn and greg are annoying so i don't sit with them. so i get a free seat! :) justin said it was because i'm ugly... but that's justin. ;)

ROTF Wildchild! You are the last person I would say was evil. :D :D :D
Just shows some people's ignorance.
Willow, I would sit with you. And I don't take much room, either.:)

you should see all the attention I get on the train on lodge night ..
tux, lodge pin, ...etc.....
I look at it this way, id rather have them looking at me funnny or asking my things then taunting the traumatised freak in the seat next to me....... no wait..... thats my seat :)

Mmmhmm. You evil, evil witch, you. Heh - did you point at him and mumble gobblygook? That makes 'em run for the hills in situations like that... I had a long ride to Vancouver last year, and I brought a book or two. Or ten. Y'know... But it got out the book I was reading was a big ol' book of spells, and besides the wierd looks, I got an opposite reaction. Everyone wanted to see it, to read it. To, like, learn how to hex each other. That sort of reaction supprises me more then the "Back Demon" one.

You wicked, wicked witch!! That's like when people tell you "you're going to Hell!" It's like "good, well at least I won't have to see you there." I dunno, I've sometimes considered coming to the door and acting possessed when missionaries visit...but eh, that'd probably backfire on me... hehe :D

"evil witch"........8O
I've had a few people try to tell me the "evils" of witchcraft,
and given me "examples" based on popular mainstream belief,
yada, yada, yada...
I am going to get a pair of red contacts(hopefully), and a black
wig, with black clothing, and do that a few days, to get people's
reaction to me being a witch......bwaaaaahhahahaha 8O

My mom used to read Tarot cards-too bad she'd be one of those "you're EVIL" people if she knew I was Pagan.

with red contacts. Some of them, especially the older versions are bad for your eyes. Check em out before buying them. Dont know why red is hazardous, something in the tinting.

Teh red comes from some amazonian bug. My mother, a teacher, had to be a clown one yar at a school carnival, and got some of the red face paint too close to her eye (not even touching it.), major complications resulted.

I'm sorry, all i can think about is the Renfaire this weekend and chanting *in sexy tones at the sidelines during the joust*
"Joseph! Jospeh! You Bad.. BAD man!"
hehehe
Seriously though, I brought tarot cards to school when I was 11 or so. Some people were freaked out, to others it was like a freak show.
Of course, after that none of their parents wanted to let thier kids play with me. Which was fine cuz most of the kids were, no all of the kids but 3, were jerks. And they were my friends anyway hehe.
My mom once had an encounter when she worked at the post office. Someone saw her pentacle and said "I didn't know you were Jewish!?" She said "I didn't know you couldn't count!".
I was amused incredibly. She gave me a lollipop to stop me from laughing. It didn't work. But the lollipop was good.
A lot of people have misconceptions. It amazes me though.
Someone will hang a swastica *i KNOW that's spelled wrong*
flag and be hailed as a hero for pulling it down against first amendment rights.. but yet won't touch a practicing witch with a ten foot poll. I think we got the better end of the deal.

I would sit with you too, Willow. We would look through my tarot cards together & mumble & cackle! That would be fun!
Hehe! I hope I gave that guy nightmares! :D
Seriously, though, I'd rather be the way I am & be thought of as "evil" than some other people's "good".

You gotta hate when people do that to you.. Though I've never had anyone do that to me out in a public place, my mom found my cards and basically challenged me.. In the end I did get my cards back (although that started a few months of not being able to read them very well)...
Aye, it sux being called evil some times, but that's the way it goes... (sigh)

When I meet a witch, the first thing I ask is
"Are you a good witch, or a bad witch"

 Maybe I should try that.
People are always crowding around me in public places and school.
I have that "she's so sweet" look and people feel the need to come up to me and tell me their life story, even when I'm trying to read or study.

hmm that happens to me alot. I get told I am going to burn in hell once a week. gatta love the appartments I live in! I always just smile sweetly and say "Thats where the real party is." hm That dosent go over too well with alot of people. Flicking tarot cards at people who think they are evil is also a fun thing. anyway have fun with people like that, it's the best you can do most of the time.

Doesn't surprise me :) I know a lot of the Vancouver-ites and their pagan community. Tis a good place, if you can ignore the infighting and politicking. Far more open minded then other parts of BC.
I refuse to buy form Chapters, but I will go in and browse to see what they are carrying. Three times now I started pulling out books and had people ask me if it was good and what I would recommend. That's always fun :)

I don't think it sucks :) I just smile sweetly and say, "Oh! You noticed!" then go back to what ever it is.
Of course I'm lucky to live in a pretty relaxed area, but there are still twits around. And my preferred way of dealing with them to not give them any power.

Most of my time in high school I was being called evil for the most part....
Most of mine was spent being call Stupid, Fat, Ugly, etc. I had the popular guys throwing popcorn at me shouting "feed the animal." <shrugs> People are stupid. Such is life. Far more fun to put my energy into things that actually interest me and hang out with people that make me smile :)

lol i usually get can you do a reading for me,
one day a friend and i were sitting in a dennys, we were discussing tarot, and comparing a few different decks of cards, what we saw in them and what not. the waiters kept walking by,
we would come back on a regular basis and they would get nicer and nicer, eventually all of our friends would go there to hang out since they were so nice,
we hold our witches and pagan meet ups there, and they always come and sit with us and hang out even if they are not working, they are a werid bunch of guys. very nice and they enjoy our compaionship and conversation.
they didnt even realize we were pagans till the last meet up we had, we were discussing about reiki, as some times the few of us who do that kind of thing would do reiki on them all they knew is that it felt good and well they were able to hang with us for a bit. so one of them was in a car accident and in need of a healing and he asked us what it was that we did that made the pain go away, through the conversation we were discussing other elements such as empathy,
i think it was the tarot cards that caught their eyes, and they were drawn to us since. we been going there for over a year now...
some times tarot in public is a good thing
