I've been looking for a Kemet name latelty, and I was wondering where did everyone else find theirs (those who have them)? Any good sites with translations?

Most of the people I know that have them have had a Netjeru give them to them, in a dream or some such. Or, most of the people that aren't Kemetic Orthodox(there's a ceremony where you receive a Kemetic name, after you become a Remetj). The name I use I don't take as my serious Kemetic name, it was something I came up with WAY back(before I was even pagan) when I was messing around with glyphs and thought it sounded cool. Turns out it's actually correct, and now it fits, so it's a username some places.

the book "Circle of Isis" has a bunch of Kemetic words in the back that you can use in making a name . I wasn't given a name by a God, I don't think. But I don't place much importance on my names.

I'm a shemsu of the House of Netjer...
I'm Kemetic Orthodox. This means that after I was divined (To find out Who my Parents and Beloveds are) I was given a kemetic name by my Father Yinepu.

Gemytyinepu (gem-MEET-yih-NAH-poo), with a hard 'g' sound not a 'j' sound. It means "The one Yinepu found."

Sorry. I love my name and never past up an opportunity to ramble about it :hehehehe:

I was given IbDjehuty in a dream from Djehuty (obviously). It means Djehuty's heart. All the others in my sig I chose myself because I felt some sort of connection with them. I'm not KO, just so you know. I got mine mostly from a hieroglyph book i bought ages ago that has enough of a dictionary to make names with.
