My mentor, my cousin, my friend and surrogate father. Your journey on this earth has ended. Your pain and suffering are now of the past. You leave behind a family whom you have taught the meaning of love. You gave us laughter thru tears, sunshine on our cloudy days, and love beyond measure. Now your new journey has begun. A journey of peace. Now you will reunite with those who passed before you, your father, your uncle and aunt, your daughter. All I ask is give my father a hug for me and you tell him that you both taught me well. Shine on Doug. Take your place in the heavens as the newest, brightest star. I'll be looking for you, not just tonight, but everytime I gaze into the heavens and remembering all who have gone. Take my love with you and know you will always be in my heart......
