This is gonna be a long one, but here goes.
About 3 weeks ago my older sister, Shannon, found a bump on her head. After a couple days of pain she went to the doctor. THey diagnosed it as an infected cyst. She had it removed like 2 days later, and was fine. She went to the follow up appointment, and everything was good. They had sent the cyst off to pathology in B.C. and then maybe a week ago phoned back and left a message. Before, for her follow up appointment, they didn't have the report back from B.C. to say anything about it. Now they did. The message was saying how she had to go back there asap, and call to make arrangements. She was scared. We all were. SO she phoned and made an appointment the next morning. I got home from school, after a terrible day, only to find out that it wasn't a cyst. it was a tumor. It's some rare kind of cancer, but they took it out. However, they don't know if it has had time to spread or not. So just in a matter of days, i've found this out, AND her day surgery, has now been changed to over the weekend since its going to be general instead of local. The operation itself will be about 3 hours. its exploritory...they end up making 2 long cuts along the back of her head, and pull the skin up and over. (sorry for the gross details... )
enough of that. all in all, i'm worried about her. She seems..different. I know she's scared, but I don't know.
Is it alright of me to ask you to include us in your prayers? her operation is tomorrow (friday) at 2. I'll definitely be there, parents are out of town, so I was maybe hoping we could have that extra oomph looking over us.
Thanks for your time, and your prayers. *hugs to all!*
