Ive heard this is a means of divination in some paths and was wondering if anyone knew anymore? As its fun for Halloween parties!

Yes, the apple if cut directly in half will reveal a pentagram formed by its seeds. I think the most common well-known use of the apple is for future love divination, for example finding one's future husband etc etc.

...almost drowned once, bobbing for apples... but I ByGawd got that apple... didn't divinate, or have a near death experience, or anything... but I did get 'swimmers ear'... 8O

But how do you know who you future love is going to be? By cutting the apple again? & looking for a letter?

Well what my Mom said was to peel the apple so the peel was one long piece, then throw it over your shoulder... it's supposed to form the initial of your mate's first name... saw Mom do this once; the peel formed "B"... my Dad's initial (Bill).
