Gemini

Third sign of the zodiac. Ruling planet Mercury. Mutable-Air.

Gemini is the first of the air signs. They are what I call the "ADD children" of the zodiac. It is the first sign ruled by Mercury and covers what I call Mercury's inner child, because many of the Gemini traits are child-like. The enthusiam for learning, wanting to get into everything, to talk about everything, to go somewhere... anywhere, are all traits of Gemini.

It is one of the most intelligent signs of the zodiac and love to learn about everything. The problem is that Gemini rarely has the self-discipline to stick with one subject for long and often become a "jack of all trades".

This sign is about the first mental spark, communication in all forms, and learning. It's about how you think and communicate with those around you.

Like Taurus, planets and points in Gemini and some aspects to Mercury, will take on pieces of this energy, because Mercury also rules Virgo. Planet and aspect will determine which side of Mercury shows.

Good. The Moon characteristics are very accurate. One thing to remember with the Sun characteristics that you chose, social butterfly, fun loving, likes to flirt, talkitive and funny are all things that would also discribe having Venus in Leo too. The thing that makes it different as a Sun in Gemini characteristic is that the Gemini placement will do these things on a shallow level. Just a little bit of everything. and anything to at the least feel intellegent.

Sun...fast-talking, glib, sarcastic, social leader (at least with talking), communicating comes through many levels (art, body, speech, writing, eyes), 2-sided.

Moon...need for communication/being understood, acceptable of others, yet insensitive, likes change (new faces, places), experimental...learning new things.

People with the Sun in Gemini (like me!) tend to love learning and need a great deal of mental stimulation - a bored Gemini is a cranky Gemini! However, because they need change so much, and because they have so much nervous energy, Geminis tend to dip into a lot of subjects superficially rather than learning everything about one thing.

A Gemini Moon indicates a person who requires a great deal of freedom and mental stimulation in their emotional life. Probably the quality of their emotional life is determined by the quality of communication they have with the people they care about. People with Gemini Moons likely can't stand to be stifled in their relationships and as a result require frequent change to keep things interesting.

Yes, Gemini Moons need to have a great amount of understanding/communication with their SOs. They want to know everything! But they aren't truly shallow, they just appear that way because of the need to know a little bit of everything... deep discussions aren't the thing unless there is a supporting aspect.

Gemini Moons can be very commited, often the need for freedom is the result of an over active Uranus/Aquarius energy.
