Please keep my family in your thoughts we got news from the that people are complaining from the school again about the kids and them being clean I do not know what they expect the kids bath regularly.

This makes me mad beyond belief at least this time the preschool told us the concerns about Sakura, but Cloeys Teacher has never told us anything about the two complaints she has had. The school has polices for teachers and parents to follow and I am sick and tired of the teacher not doing her part.

The principal and I talked on the phone today after school and she was not even aware of what is going on. I told her that I am not going to loose my kids again due to people talking behind my back and not telling us what is going on. Cloeys teacher has no problems talking to us about the other concerns she has then she can dam well tell is about the issue of hygiene (and I am wondering if this had to do with swimming last week.) but the principal will tell the teacher to start addressing concerns t o me or Gord directly or through her if she is uncomfortable talking to us uncomfortable talking to us. I told the principal I did not care either way would work fine as long as we know ahead of time.

Anyways with Gord being stressed out, with work and all of the overtime.
and Cloey having had blood work done today for the Geneticist
(Me I am starting to calm down so I am ok, but the two youngest ones I think are feeling the stress around the rest of us.)

So please keep us in your thoughts and I will let you know more about things with the social worker on Thursday.

Thanks
Hymnia

I'm confused. I got something about bad hygiene. What kid is clean? Heck, when I was a kid, I HATED baths. I was good to get two a week. :nyah:

I was good to get two a week. http://mysticwicks.com/images/smilies/nutsycuckoo.gif Élistariel the social Worker asked me today how many times the kids bath and he already knows the answer but I told him I try to get the kids in for a bath every second night. And he said what about everyday ? I said no way and actually forgot what else I said but still what do they expect from a 4 year old who is just learning to keep herself clean adn an 8 year old who is already strting to go through changes of her own I mean what do they expect squicky polished kids? Well if they do expecgt it they can get with reality.

Ah ok it is getting confusingGord talked to Cloeys teacher and she has no clue about any of it, and in fact she told Gord that until the principal talked to her yesterday about it she did not know anything was wrong.

So it is one of three people now Cloeys Counsoller, or the two teacher aids. Now I am not sure about the teacher aids but something bugs me about the counsoller but then again I am just so clouded right now I do not know what to think.

So I am once again back at being very angry and emotional to casue Sakura graduated from Preschool today. And I was not able to go to the ceremony cuase it was out of town.

Ditto that !

I understand how upsetting this stuff is. Too bad its so hard to retain your sense of humor or when the social worker suggested a bath for the kids every day you might have said "Okay, I give them three baths a week and you can come and give them baths the rest of the week. Which days would work best for you?" :bubbles:

I'm sure glad no one decided to take away my daughter because she had cradle cap until she was three. Both of her daughters had the same problem. It must be something genetic because even if we washed their hair every day the cradle cap was still there. I don't know any parents who give their kids a bath every single day. Sheesh.

Believe me Lunacie that exact thought ran through my mind.
So in about 11 hours we will see what else the worker has to say.
And I think I am now tired and calm enough to try and sleep so see ya all later.

My thoughts are with you today:rubhead: Hope all goes well. My ex-wife and I had problems with schools and social workers over our son (unruly behaviour, they reckoned; just an excuse not to expend any effort, we thought). Not the same, I know, but I do understand how helpless you feel at times.

Ok the social worker just left and Gord showed up minutes after he did so I was a bit relieved. WE talked about the stuff that needs replacing and I did not think the hygiene issue with Cloey was going to be brought up and then Gord started... Anyways we were told it was not the counsellor but one of the teachers when I mentioned the two teachers name and told Gord It thought as much it was one of them he did not know who it was if it was the teacher aid or not .

I said it did not matter who it was the fact that they broke school policy once again is what is making me mad. And due to my headache keeping me in line I did not get to angry but told him exactly how I felt that I am getting sick and tired of people not following the school rules for parents and teachers.

The worker said that he did not think they did it to be mean or be talking behind our back but it was something they were concerned about. And I responded, then they should have still talked to use first. The worker said but with your phone not working how would they be able to get a hold of you? I told him that I have been taken aside before after school and talked to and that is what could have been done this time as well. If they had concerns they should bring it up to me and if they could not then they should have told Darlene to make her aware of it....

Anyways there was more but that is the brief end of it. I just gave up and took something for the pain in my head and will need to be getting to the school to get to Cloey.

Thanks everyone

Have you asked the principle and the school counselor to sit down with you and discuss the situation, and explained to them how this all got started and how it's gotten completely out of hand, and how you haven't done anything wrong FOR CRYING OUT LOUD !? I know you've been trying to work with everyone and not blow up, geeze I can't imagine the stress of not telling some of these people where to go.

My Sakura is finished school as of this past week Cloey has two more weeks and I hope to high heaven Fariywings that there is no more garbage.

Maybe you should tell the social worker how much the stress is affecting you.

I think he knows or he should know considering what I have siad to him in the past.

Well since the counsellor is not the one who told the social worker
I do not know what good it would do. I was thinking since the social worker said Sakura and Cloey were the issue I was beginning to wonder if it was Sakuras teachers aid or someone like that since one of the teacher aids work in Cloeys class too...

Oh well I am not going to make myself sick of this anymore and just hope that we are gone before September comes around again.
