I am fairly new to my path so I am not familiar with how to do things. How do I go about making protection amulets for my daughters and me. Being new can i do it or do i need someone more experienced so to speak to do it fo me. In light of everything going on in our lives I would really like for us to wear them.

You can use something they can wear all the time. Like a necklace or a bracelet or a hair clip or jewelry. There's a couple of threads here for enpowering your amulet. I'll see if I can find them for you.

If it's protection your looking for, another way instead of making or buying an amulet which could get expensive simply make or buy pentacles for protection,it's no amulet but it'll protect.

Well you could get like fimo or clay and make one, then paint a pentacle on it or runes, or you could find stones from nature and paint protection symbols on them and keep them.

What you want to do is pick symbols that remind you of protection (like a pentacle or circle), paint them or sculpt them into something, or buy little trinkets. Even if you can't paint or put protective symbols on them what you can do is do a small ritual to imagine you are infusing them with protective energy, or ask the Goddess to bless them for protection for you and your kids, then have yourself and each kid carry one. You can also tell your older kids to think about how Goddess loves and protects them everytime they look at whatever symbol you've given them.

Faeiedust, for your daughters, you don't need to get too fancy. You can buy some pony beads at at craft store. You can get them in one colour or a mix of colours. Maybe a mix of purple & white for protection. Some yarn or leather string or elastic. Light a white candle. As you string each bead on, think of the daughter you're making this for. Think of her coming home to you each day, safe, healthy, loved & protected. Envision a white shimmering light all around her. Ask the Goddess to protect your daughter, to keep her safe in her arms. You can check out the other protection threads for ideas to incorporate into this. When you have enough beads, tie it off just to keep the beads from falling off. Do each of the bracelets. Mix up a couple of drops of black pepper essential oil with olive oil or any plain oil. (If you don't have black pepper essential oil, you can crush up some black peppers & let sit in a tsp of olive oil overnight.) Rub a little bit of the oil into the bracelets for added protection. Keep envisioning your daughters being safe, etc.

When you finish, put these bracelets on your daughters. You can do a little ceremony. As you place each bracelet on, explain to your daughter that you love them. The bracelets will represent your love to them. And because you can't be with them all the time when they're at school or playing, you're sending a little bit of your love and protection with them. The bracelets are to remind them how much you love them and want them to be safe. At the same time, envision that white light all around your children, protecting them. Finish with a kiss and a hug.

This is what I use for my son, except I use don't use purple & white...I use something more "manly". Heh!

Yes! You can make a pentacle as Myst suggested or use a piece of jewelry that you wear all the time. The great thing about making your own amulets or charms is that you can infuse the object with protective energies as you're making it.

Or you can make the same bracelet for yourself too. That would be really neat. Sort of as a connection there. :)
