Okay, I finnaly broke down and went to a temp agency a few days ago, and they said that I needed an resume before they could help me out. Problem is...I've never worked a day in my life before. I can't even babysit. I don't know what in the world I am supposed to be writing, how I am supposed to fill a resume without any previous work experience, how the document is supposed to look or anything...help! :blushake:

My suggestion would be to make up a resume without the work experience. Include schooling, diplomas, degrees, etc. Special accomplishments and abilities, such as computer experience, knowledge of different software, etc. If you like, you can PM and I will show you my resume and perhaps you can adapt it to your own use :).

anyone else? I am having a bit of troble thinking of references, I know it's wise not to list them in the resume but the temp agency asked for it so I assume they want them listed. I've never worked before therfore I don't have anyone to say anything good about me...I thought of old teachers and pepole I babysat for but I've lost all contract with them. :whatgives

You can always put down that you will give your references in person. I've never been comfortable putting them on my resume. Yeah, but like Misty said put down your skills, diplomas, degrees, accomplishments, etc...

For references just give them people who know and will make you look good :D
