Oh God I think I abuse the use of this board sometimes... So sorry if you guys are sick of me posting so much. :twitch:

Now I am starting to get some peace and quiet at the homefront, I was wondering if anyone out there has some exercises, or links to exercises on developing Empathy and/or any exercises to develop my 6th sense in a non-visual way - perhaps on all other senses? I'm more of a feeling kind of person when it comes to anything "magical". I feel energy, I feel the presense and appeance of spirits and guides rather than 'see' them, I feel my charkras open.... so I'm try to develop that more.

I used to be a strong Empath and Healer. But due to lack of practice, and shutting myself off from the world for a fair ammount of time, the ability has pretty much disapeared, and I wish on working to aquire it again for healing purposes, and diciplinary purposes.

Any advice, tips or pushes in the right direction?

Empathy is pretty touch and go. I'm surprised you managed to drive it off, actually. I've tried. It bothers me to have it sometimes.

The first question I have is are you a receptive, projective, residual, or combination Empath?

Receptive = able to sense other's emotions
Projective = able to make other's feel what you feel
Residual = can feel strong emotions left over in a place after a person has left it
Combination = any combination of the above.

For projective empaths, it's move getitng back into the habit of opening your shields enough to let out what you're feeling. I'm not projective, so I can't help you much there.

For receptive empaths, try to go to a crowded place and just relax, opening your mind. It'll be a little confusing, and more of a flood than anything, but as you concentrate, you'll be better able to sort through what you're receiving.

For residual, try practising like a receptive.

It all comes down to keeping your mind open, and your shields loose enough to LET things IN.

As for healing... well... I've never used Empathy in healing, but I'm a bit of a loose cannon when it comes to my Empathy. I don't have much control over it beyond straight shutting it out.
