Has your mother ever used meds like Prozac, Zolaft, St. Johnswart, or any other aintidepresant???????? To help with her isuse. From a person with some of the same isuse as your mother. My doctor has me on Prozac and Zyprexa pluss AN extremly low intake of calcium. Check it out there might be something out there for your mother. something is always beter than nothing.

I don't have much experience in this area either... so I will just send positive energies and wishes that a higher power will intervene to help out, ok?

One thing that did just now pop in my head as I was writing this is to ask you if, since this is a repeat attempt, can you pinpoint any circumstances that might point to a cycle that she is going through? I know that you have already told us in an earlier post that she is bipolar, right? So obviously that is a major part of what is happening... but I am just thinking that if you can pinpoint the times when it is most likely to happen, perhaps it might be possible to figure out what her catalyst is... and possibly help her avoid her triggers that take her to this extreme level?

Also, as I'm sitting here looking at the word "attempt", it occurs to me that she is being unsuccesful each time, and to me that might indicate that she is "attempting" it at times when she knows she will be "saved", and would point to more of a cry for attention than an actual desire to die... either that, or she is just very very lucky. At any rate, both of those possiblities is obviously bound to be taking its toll on you, so I wish you peace in this difficult situation, and I will light a candle for you.

I've dealt with it with him and my sister... so I know how it goes... sweetie if you need someone to talk to then you know I'm here.. I can only tell you what I know from experience... and not all of it is nice but maybe it could help you....
