My cat thinks he's a dog. http://www.iamviet.com/forum/images/smilies/smilie_yellow_icon_rolleyes.gif

LOL, seriously. He'll get up on your lap and lick you from your fingertips to your elbows, and your face if he can get to it. Also, unlike most cats, he 'wags' his tail. No joke, lol.

No cat??
At least your tiger kitty's cute :)
Perhaps you should go and met an astral kitty, or find a spirit cat. _catroll_
Aww, I was trying to find an appropriate smiley.. but I found this little cat.
And I think he gets the idea across

_catroll_

Well I think its a cat, even if it kinda looks like a hamster.

My cat has been with me for 14 years. He is never far from me, if I get up to go into another room for just a minute, he follows me. If I am in the kitchen, and get up from the computer or take a step towards his cat perch, well, that must mean that it's time for him to get another treat. Spoiled cat!! He is a drooler and a licker. One of his favorite things it to lick my face, which I hate! It turns into a contest, how fast can he get a lick in and how fast can I get away from him! _catroll_

Hee hee...

Alley thinks she's a princess, and the only other animal she's bonded with is the puppy.

Elizabeth is always sick, but a happy cat nonetheless. She likes to chase the other two cats, but won't go near the dogs. It has something to do with her life prior to me rescuing her.

Jose is...Jose. He's a funny cat, but sometimes you just want him to go away...

But I love them.

Buster is an ash gray medium hair with yellow eyes that are sometimes green. He is the only lap cat I've ever owned. He loves to be petted and craves attention. He's curently sitting on my lap making it hard to type. He loves to play and I've got scratches on both hands to prove it.

I have three cats two black and one black and white they all weigh between 20 and 25 pounds and are the best friends in teh world.

Velvet is all black with a diamond shaped white spot on her chest. She has green eyes and is the queen of the castle

Little Sh@@ has the same markings but has yellow eyes and he's the hyper one.

Kentucky is the biggest and he is black and white, he is the almighty king and thinks he can kick any dogs butt. I wouldn't disagree because he made a full blooded red doberman run scared lol.

I have two cats...
Blue is nearly fifteen years old and absoloutley adores attention, though she's a little bit neurotic and pulls her hair out (the vet said she's neurotic, so it's fine), she's a short haired British Bi-colour, white and grey, with little white 'boots' hee. She's adorable, and she's my mom's cat.
Missy (short for Mischief) is about three years old and is part Abyssyinian (sp?) and part Calico I think, she is very much a kitten, she likes to play with the light from the laser pointer. We actually found her abandoned in one of the suite's in are apartment building. We took her in with the intent of just taking care of her till her owners came back, and her owners never came back... so she's still here with us.
We used to have a black and white long haired British Bi-colour, her name was Boots. She was black and white, and had white 'boots' (hence her name). I got her for my fifth birthday, she was my adorable little cat, and everyone knew it, unfortunately, her kidney's where failing and we had to put her to sleep December 30th, 2003, 13 years and 2 months after we got her... though it was just a few months after that that we got Missy.

Talk about my cat? Which one?!? We have four!!!

I'll start with Deszie and possible make seperate posts for our other 3 farts as well. We'll see.

Deszie is a Warrior. I tried to tell my wife this when she picked him out, but she didn't listen or believe me. He is a black, gray, tan "tortuse shell" kitty. He has black "War Paint" markings around both eyes and a BIG ATTITUDE to match. He is not overly affectionate except for rare moods. He was in one of those moods a few days ago and wanted my attention while I was out sitting on our porch. My neighbors dog "Gunner" ( a , I kid you not, 150 pound German Shepard) decided he wanted to come over and play with me. (lets face it, not everyone is big enough to play with Gunner and he knows this. I therefore am his buddy.) Deszie, having decided that HE wanted my attention ran up to Gunner (right in his face) snarling and hissing and as pumped up as you can imagine and backed the poor dog down. It was impressive as Deszie wouldn't make more than one good mouthful for Gunner. As I said... Deszie is our Warrior.

Blessings,
Viseux

So, tell me about your cat. :)We have four cats, the youngest of which we adopted yesterday. He is the first tomkitten we've gotten in the last 18 years. He's black, 14 weeks old and it looks like his eyes are going to be green. This is a good thing, 'cause we have two other black cats and they both have yellow/gold eyes. Our fourth cat is a brown tabby with green eyes. The little guy hasn't decided on a name yet and is currently asleep in my lap, pinning down my right arm. It takes a while to type a post this long with one hand!! LOL

My parents currently care for my cats as I travel a bit with work

But Boston is 11yrs old, his mother was a christmas present to me (she sadly was killed by a car when she was 3yrs 1 month old) as I had said I had never hada cat from a kitten. So my parents asked me that christmas did I really want a kitten and then took me out to choose her, her pregnancy was an accident (she was booked in to be done as soon as she was old enough but clearly not quick enough). He is really soft, but a massive cat (not cat big in build and muscle) eats everything, very demanding, likes being fussed on his own terms. Grey stripy with a bit of brown underneath. Very very laid back

Zulie was given to me after Boston's mother was killed. Her real name is Kittywake, she was bred to be a show cat and her markings are such that it is believed she would have become a top class show cat.....but she gets distressed easily and her previous owners didn't have the heart to traumatise her by taking her to shows. So asked if I would take her (on the condition she is never to be taken to shows). She is a british blue spotted -same age as Boston. Likes to be by you more than touched. still looks like a kitty...desperate for a man! Loves to play fetch

Napoleon is 4years old, he was named as when I got him he had "Boney parts" he is half burmese half we arn't quite sure. He was born in a house where the woman had a zillion cats and dogs who she spoke to in English, Dutch, German and French (Actually I beleve the dogs were only talked to in Dutch but the cats got all the languages going). He is a nutcase -why walk around something when you came jump over it. Can't walk through a door has to bounce off the wall. His idol is Bostion -he tries to copy him and snuggles up to him all the time. Has the shortest attention span ever (he actually forgets to eat unless he is shut in a room with no distractions...who has ever heard of a cat not eating before!) Very very loving cat though

My cat, Thomas, is a 3 year old short-haired ginger kitty. He's so adorable. And a real scaredy cat, literally. He's scared of other cats. Bless him.
Rather then us (me and my parents) finding him, he found us. When we moved house, the previous owners moved to the other side of the country, with their cat. But a year later they came back to our town. Their cat, however, came back to his old house, our house. We stroked him etc but never invited him inside our house. We thought he belonged to someone in the neighbourhood. His owners came looking for him after a couple of weeks and took him back to their house. We were relieved to know that he wasn't a stray.
But a few days later he came back. And, this time, his owners didn't come back to collect him. So we befriended him and welcomed him to our family. We moved house again a year later, and he came with us. I love him to bits

my cat is grey and named tule, ("tooley"). i decided i wanted a grey cat and asked MW'ers what a good name would be and they said tule. like the fog. maybe it is spelled "thule".
he is tall and long and skinny. his hair is very very soft. he jumped out the wondow twice by accident. once i came home and he was sitting on my steps with a bloody nose and a puffy face. how embarrassing.
he is very affectionate to me, he sleeps with me like a stuffed animal. he hates everyone else.
his tail is much too long for his body. he will box if you put your fingers up to him. he takes showers with me sometimes.
he's a weirdo.

Well, Shadow is actually the 2nd cat we've gotten in this past year. Unfortunately, Lindsey, my first cat, passed away on Feb. 16. She was a shelter rescue, and she was my baby. She liked to perch on my shoulder while I was working on the computer. She would lay on my back and go to sleep if I stretched out on the couch. The funniest thing would be when she'd get in my empty bathtub when I was in the bathroom and hunker down until I couldn't see her while she waited for me to flick a towel over her head. She'd explode up and grab the towel, lol. She also liked to get in the tub with me whenever I would take a bath....not in the water, but she'd climb on my chest and curl up and go to sleep. She was so funny. The 7 months I had her, she never made a meow once. She got really sick and had a massive stroke and seizures on Feb. 16 and died shortly after we got her to the animal hospital. :(

I miss her.

My Cat is Mirinda Mehitobel Beast.
She is a seventeen year old female persian tortoise-shell dollface.
She has very green eyes to the point they are peridot near the pupil.
And she has an orange tear drop in the middle of her black forehead.
She still has most of her teeth even for her age.....which is unusual.
However she is starting to lose her hearing in the past few years.
*shrugs*
But that comes with elderly cats, her eye sight is perfect however.
And she doesn't have severe arthritis....just one hip gets a little sore at times. So I keep a small heating pad around for her.

She is also still very alert and happy.
Likes to spend half her time sleeping and a quarter of her time stalking men.
This cat is one big slut puppy.
She loves men and loves to play the coquette with them.
(think Jodie Foster in The Gambler)
Comes sliding up to them all fearful and afraid and trying to convince them she needs a big strong powerful man like them to take care of her.
The other quarter of her time is spent between either eating or harassing the in-laws dogs.
A bull dog and a tea cup poodle.
She has become known for her wicked left hook.
Now in her youth she was one fantastic mouser, hunter, fighter, and ruled with an Iron Paw.
Now the little rag tag hag is reduced to stalking the artificial jungle/meaning inside our home.
Either she was a queen in a previous life with a nasty title or an assassin.
She can hide and become invisable like no cat I have ever owned.
She loved to literaly LURK when she was young.
Part of this was because I lost her for a one year period right after she was six months old. And I had her returned to me by a lady who had found her and tried to take care of her when she appeared at this woman's house.
But the cat refused to "come inside" or be touched by much and became feral and standoffish.
It took me almost a year to get her back to being tame more or less.
My father kiddingly called her the Lurker at the Threshold when she was feral and would lurk and watch us.
She practicaly lived under my bed for the first three months she was home.

But back to what I was saying:
She is contrary, wicked, evil, mean, nasty, arrogant, selfish, manipulative, etc.
And I love her for it. :nyah:
I have had her since I was a child and simply adore her.
She "talks" to you constantly.
Takes up half the bed....while in reality she isn't a very large boned cat.....but she is very fluffy and a bit over weight.
And is notorious for stealing a sock and then running through the house with it in her mouth and yeowling at the top of her lungs.
This is a signal that she wishes to play with you and the sock....I know weird.

She will also be in a room away from everyone and if she gets lonely simply yeowl and scream until you appear.
Did I mention she is lazy in her old age?

And because she is losing her hearing she will stand in a corner and throw her own voice back to herself so she can hear it while yeowling for you.

And if she is hiding she can throw her voice all over a house. Very bizarre.

I can only say they broke the mold when they made her.

And I have to wonder....does anyone else's cats have a bloodlust?
I've had a few who really like rare meat and some raw....but not like she is.
As in the rawer the meat the better.
To the point she loves chicken livers raw.

My kitty (okay, my boyfriend's kitty, Cleopatra) is a black floofy witch's kitty that my boyfriend got around Halloween from a shelter (just before their cutoff for selling black cats). She's very much an indoor cat. When she runs out the front door, she gets as far as the doormat and crouches down and mews because the world is too big for her.

She can be a real scrapper. One time, we were interviewing someone to be a roommate, and he brought over his sweet dog that is 4 times her size (at least). She had all of her floofiness stand up all over her, hissed, and swatted at him (has no front claws). The dog decided he didn't want to fight so he turned to walk away from her, and she was such a b!tch that she ran around in front of him, faced him, and gave the "what? You coming at me!?" attitude and started boxing at him again. For a cute little princess, she can be real mean. Here is my pretty kitty now:

It's so wonderful to see so many cat lovers/owners.

I currently have two cats. Skye has been with me over a year and we just adopted Cathulu on Saturday. Theyre about 1.5 to 2 years old. Im still learning a bit about Cathulu, but he's very loving. Likes to cuddle, talks to you when he wants lovinz (that's what we call it when we pet em and love on 'em lol). Tulu is all black with green eyes of course. Very cute!

Skye is my baby. She's black and white and the sweetest thing ever. She talks to me often, tells me when she's upset, when she's happy, if she's had a bad day, etc. I tell her about my day, any thoughts I have. We communicate very well. She fetches, but she'll drop it if you look at her while she's bringing it back or if you talk to her lol (we're still working on that). Very intelligent cat. She understands a few words like "no, stop, c'mere, mira aqui, stay, love you, kisses, silly" and a few others. Some of those words get reactions. Like if I say silly she'll roll over and stretch. If I say mira aqui, which means look here, she'll come to where I'm standing and look for something. She's just an amazing cat.

I could go on but I'll spare you. But I must warn you that once I learn more about Cathulu, I'll be tellin' it all! lol :P
