I just wanted to tell you guys that I have a ferret in my life. I have been longing for one for many years and it happened. My sister decided to get one and of course, he is now my responsibility. I don't mind, I just love all of the animals (still working on the leopard gecko). I'm most likely going to adopt one from a rescue in a couple of weeks, as I think that Sebastian needs a ferret companion. Don't get me wrong, he loves playing with all of the cats and dogs, but when he's in his cage (only to sleep), he needs a warm body next to him. I have placed one of the dogs stuffed animals in there with him and he drags him around and puts him in his bed with him. I also think that it will stem his habit of waking me up anywhere between 3 am - 6am, everyday!!! EEEEPPP!!! I'm a bit sleepy eyed, but happy as I can be.
You know there's really not much funnier than a ferret jumping sideways dooking, trying to egg a cat on for play!

Thanks! We did get another ferret and named him Osito (little bear in Spanish). They are having so much fun together and we are enjoying having them in our lives. I guess I would just ask for what tips you have, esp regarding litter training. I know that they tend to have accidents, but I was wondering what else I can do to increase litter box accuracy! LOL

Forgot about this post, LOL! If you keep them in a cage while they sleep, put a litter pan on every level of the cage, and make sure it's a corner pan. Ferrets (for some reason) will usually only go in a corner. Most often than not, you'll put the litter pan in the left corner and all the ferrets will choose to use the right one, LOL! Let the ferrets choose the corner they want, then move the pan to that spot. That way they learn about the pan quicker and it decreases the pooping in all corners of the cage.
Same thing for when they are running around the house. Either start them out in a small space until they start using the same pan, or just put newspaper in all the corners of the area they're playing in. I just use the paper and it works out fine, unless my baby Raine decides to move the paper away from the corner, and then go :X LOL!
