Tarot of the Cat People

Howdy, fellow tarot people! :D

I just got (although haven't picked it up yet) a tarot deck off of freecycle. Apparently it's the Tarot of the Cat People. I already know, from looking at it on Aeclectic Tarot, that it's not a deck I'm gonna jazz with, however...that's not why I got it. I got it for it's value as a tarot deck, and something that I would like to get into collecting again.

So, I was just wondering if anyone here has the deck, and what you think of it and it's images and artwork and such.

Yeah, I put out a wanted ad for any tarot decks or books, and one person replied. I was hoping for more interest, (seeing as how there's over 4000 members), but oh well.

I have that deck. I got it because I love cats. The artwork is nice, but it doesn't speak to me at all. I never truly connected with it for some reason.

how long have you had it?? Sometimes it could just be a matter of not being the right time yet for you to use it......

Okay.....got me browsing Freecycle now......lol.......I have Dreaming Color and Spiral Tarot on my wish list...I've flirted with the Tarot of the Cat people, but hadn't thought much on them......could you list me the pro's and cons' of them?

I absolutely adore that deck and have always found that it speaks to me very well. I use it for my personal readings, as my deck is rather old and I prefer not to have it handled by others who are rough on it.

Pros:
Clear symbolism
Enchanting artwork
Meshes with Rider-Waite system
IF you get the book with it, there's a whole mythology that goes with the cards.

Cons:
Some consider the artwork 'dark' (I think of it as intense)
Some meanings assigned to the cards don't match how the card makes me feel

Overall, I say go for it - if you don't like it after buying it, just resell it!
