So last night y husband, my daughter and I decided to go get his father's day gift. He really wanted a bike and found a cool mountain bike on sale at a store. We get home, with the bike, my hubby is excited!! Well I wake up this morning to find that it had been stolen from our garage!!!! Not only that they riffled thru my car and stole my sun glasses and my bag for schol. They nicely left my school stuff in the grass all night!!! The nerve of people....it irks me to no end. So to the moron(s) who took my hubby's bike, I hope you like it and i hope you get a serious case of road rash when you fall off it!!!

yes, I called this morning as soon as we found out. And I was not able to get serial numbers. we just got it last night and by the time we got home, it was time to get the little one to bed. My hubby was planning on getting that info this AM!!!

I loved back in the late 80's, I used to leave my brand new bike out on the front lawn every night and it was always there in the morning. What has the world come to? Why can't it be the way it used to be :atantrum:

I never locked my bike up as a kid and it never got stolen.
Now I'm afraid to even buy a nice bike since I've seen people with fence cutters approaching bikes before and had to call the cops to keep them from cutting the locks and stealing the bikes.

Thanks everyone!!! My poor hubby just sounds so pissed and sad!! He was soo looking forward to this bike!! He poured over hundreds of ads in the last 2 1/2 weeks, looking for the bike he wanted. I too used to leave my bike outside when I was a kid..no problems!! Now a days you have to lock your car while it's in your garage!!! Supposedly the police in our town have been able to recover most stolen bikes, but I am not holding my breath. We may file a home owners claim, but we haven't decided yet.

Thanks again and I wish some serious road rash on them.. they have some bad karma coming their way!! WATCH OUT!!!
