Arcane Kitty

I adopted Cathulu this past Saturday and I'm trying to introduce him to my cat, Skye, who's lived with us for over a year now. They're relatively close in age. Tulu sleeps in a separate room than Skye, they stayed separated for the first few days. They know each other exist now, and dont really bother one another unless they get close enough to touch noses. I tried keeping Skye in his room while Tulu roamed the house, but all Skye did was cry and want out. So she didnt stay in his room for long. She's not used to doors being closed.
Tulu is very easy going. He doesnt mind being bothered with Skye, really. Skye on the other hand isn't too happy that she has to share space. She's been doing random things to let me know she's unhappy, like standing on top of my fishtank, or sitting on the kitchen sink and meowing for no apparent reason. I give them both attention separately, I spend time with them so that they get lots of love.
My concern is that they got introduced too soon? Or maybe I just need to give them more time. I've noticed these past few days Skye is more accepting to the fact that Tulu is now apart of our family. She's still her normal self as far as wanting to be petted, talking to me and tellin me about her day, things like that. I'm not too concerned with Tulu because he's not acting crazy. He's just happy to have a home. lol
I guess I'm just looking for any advice you guys might have? Ive never had to introduce cats before, theyve always been litter mates when I've had more than one.
