Tonight at our shoppe we hosted our monthly Full Moon ritual, this time in combination with the Solstice. A series of events happened that we figure we just HAVE to share.
First, the shoppe is on a street corner here, on the opposite corner is the local UU church (which hosts the local CUUPS events). We had three or four late arrivals and were waiting for them to arrive when we observed a woman and her teen daughter going to the church with some goodies. About five minutes later they came back out, and put the goodies in their car and proceeded to walk down the street. Upon reaching our front door they noticed what kind of shoppe we were, and asked if we knew when the CUUPS ritual was (it had been the previous night). So here they are, goodies and all, having driven 40 miles or so looking for a ritual they had missed. So obviously we invited them to ours.
All went well during our ritual, and our new guests had a great time as well.
Then, after the ritual, I had stepped outside for some air, and for no apparent reason (it was partly overcast, but had not rained) a rainbow appeared -- centered DIRECTLY over our shoppe! So here we are, 20 of us or so, standing in the road in amazement at this rainbow out of nowhere! And not less than 5 minutes after our ritual! There were goosebumps and giddiness all around. No one wanted to move until that rainbow disappeared. Needless to say, all in attendance left KNOWING we had participated in something special -- and knowing we would never look at things quite the same again. It was the most glorious display I have ever seen - and most likely ever will!
