Her name is Lola. She was a birthday present from my boyfriend. I was making payment on a crested gecko and before I could pay for all of him and get him home he ended up choking on his shedded skin at the petstore so a couple weeks later we went to the petstore to see what else they had. I didnt find anything there that interested me except a baby kingsnake which I couldnt get because of my rodents so we went to a petstore out of town and found this little girl. She dropped her tail and they didnt think she was worth any value anymore so they let her go for $10. I would have paid more, it didnt matter to me. It was love at first sight. When I got her she was on the wrong substrate, had no food, no water and was very skinny. This is her now:

Shes awesome, I love watching her stalk her prey. I love how her eyes go all black when she sees food. And just like all of my animals she has learned to beg for food. She will sit and stare at you for hours until you give her food and then she goes back into her hides.

lol nope. I only have one dog and thats because she hates all other animals so it wouldnt be possible to get another dog so I try to stick with different animals. Rats, Newts, Geckos, Hamsters, etc.........

I don't know anything about reptiles, so I'll ask a dumb question, what kind of lizard is she?

She is eating her calcium. I dust the crickets and worms with calcium but its good to have a dish of some in the cage so they can get it when they feel the need. And she is a Tremper Albino Leopard Gecko.

Another dumb question, can you bring her out of the cage and hold and pet her, or is she a pet just to be looked at?

In general Leopard Geckos are one of nicest and calmest lizards you can get. When I first I got her she tried to bite me but I didnt take it personally, she was in bad shape and had every reason to be mad. Ive been taking her out of the cage and she hasnt been giving any problems yet. But I dont trust her enough to let her sit on my arm without holding her, I dont want to tear my living room apart looking for a 8 inch lizard. But yeah Leopard Geckos are good lizards to get if you want to interact.
