I saw their pictures on the news earlier, they were just babies......
May the Goddess wrap these boys and their families in Her loving, healing arms.

Have they determined what happened yet? I have this feeling it wasn't foul play, that they got stuck in the car by accident and couldn't get out. As soon as I heard, that was my gut feeling.

From the update link above:
The older-model maroon Toyota Camry did not have a mechanism that allowed the trunk lid to stay open independently when raised, Sarubbi said. "When the children got in the trunk, there was no automatic means to hold the trunk lid open ... In all likelihood, it locked." Investigators examining the car had to use two-by-fours to prop the lid open, he said.
Sounds like it probably was an accident. The car was right behine the house they disappeared from.

The update says that it seems they got in the trunk through thr back seat of the car... which implies that the trunk was never open.

See, this is exactly what happens when you turn your back on kids. *sighs* I know it's terrible, and I feel nothing but sympathy for the families, but why didn't the one watching them just have them come inside with her for a minute or two while she was taking care of dinner?
I have a soon to be 6 and 4 year old. I let them outside to play...when I have the time to be out there with them. If I have to come back in the house, they come with me. The car is always locked, even when it's in the driveway. It's little things like this that prevent these types of accidents.
My husband will let our kids go outside in the front yard and play by themselves, and he tells them to promise they won't go near the road. The first thing he finds when he looks out to check on them is that they are near the road, behind the car, or some other place not easily in view.
He thinks I'm too overprotective of the kids, but when I see stories like this on the news, I believe my "overprotection" is justified.

Oh my god. I pray that the parents of these children can find strength and peace to get through this. If it were my son, it would kill me.
