OK anyone know any links/books/info etc etc etc about the death of elementals/earth spirits etc?
As in how they die, when they die, what happens when they die -anything assocaited with their actual deaths
It's a subject I've been studied awhile and whilst I've found a reasonable amount of info it does seem to be a subject not talk about a lot so I wondered if anyone here knew anything

Its really weird, I've never heard of one of them actually kicking the bucket.. So to speak. Lol. ^^
I suspect that their energy gets sent back to the elemental source.

That's interesting. I don't have any links of info for you but keep us posted. Have you seen the movie princess monanaki (SP)? It's about industrialisation and the death/transformation/risiliance of elementals when faced with major industrial problems like pollution and resource depletion. It's just a cartoon and a story, no factual evidence that I know of. But seriously interesting!

Thanks :)
I'll keep an eye out for that movie. I guess with such things "facts" will always be hard to come by since so many would argue they don't exist in the first place.
It's quite interesting as some seem to die and some seem to sort of fragment. "Something" is left behind but most of it moves on. Me and some others are thinking of monitoring and trying to heal one such fragment. But as I've no idea how long it took to fragment and I think some of those fragments have reincarnated it would probably take years to fully heal. So not only would we have to be dedicated but there is a possibilty we'd need others to continue it long after we die.

Actually I was thinking about that though not quite the same Brownies vanished from a lot of farms when the machinary and other such "advances" moved in so that is the same sort of idea

I think my parents are plagued with them!! They moved onto 20 acres of old growth forest 6 years ago, and every machine they've used to help clear areas (about 2 acres total) has major problems all the time! I don't think one tractor is too bad for a couple of pesky brounies to deal with though! :p

I guess it would really matter what school of magick you follow, as to what would be the theory to where they go. To me an elemental can not die, there will always be fire, the wind will always blow, as long as the element lives, the elemental lives, but I guess if it were to die it would return the core of its self, what I call the primortal weave, to await being summoned forth again.
