(Can we post about oracle decks in this forum?)

I now have Brian Froud & Jessica Macbeth's The Faeries' Oracle!!!
I've wanted to buy this for ages! I got Froud's book Good Faeries/Bad Faeries three years ago, and when I found out shortly after that there was a deck based on it (or connected to it somehow) I was determined to have it!
It costs a nice bit here, so I didn't know when I'd be able to get it, but last week I remembered that I had a couple of gift cards for Chapters! Yay! So I went and got it!
It's gorgeous, I love it so much! I love his artwork a lot!
I got a really good feeling from it too.

This is kind of a pointless post, but I'm pretty happy about finally owning this oracle deck.:D
About two years ago, I was a member at a forum that no longer exists, and the woman who ran the site (pretty much) did a reading for me with this deck, and it was so relevant and accurate that I was stunned! (It was my first experience having a reading from anyone, and I'd never read for myself at that point).
So I'm thrilled to finally have it.

:D

Pontlessness over. :p

It's a great deck! Do the exercises in the beginning of the book before you start reading card meanings. It's fun!

If you want to get to know them better and work with others who enjoy them, there is a study group at Aeclectic: http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?t=30273

Enjoy them, they're lots of fun!

Thanks for the link!

I've done the exercises for the 3 cards. It was a lot of fun. I expect I'll do it for more of them!

I don't do so well with oracle decks, but I LOOOOOVE Brian Froud, and that deck is stunning. Congrats on your find!

This set of cards is wonderful. I'm so glad you have found a set that speeks to you. While they may not be a traditional tarot set the cards are only tools that you use to learn to hear your own inner voice. That is why it is so important that you find a deck that really speeks to you since it lets you contact the inner voice of your subconcious.

I'm glad that you like them. I bought them myself, but I just couldn't connect to them. I really tried and didn't get any results with them. I ended up giving them to a sister-in-law and she really likes them and has connected with them. I hope that you enjoy your new deck.

I have this deck. It was formerly my mothers and I only took it to save it from a fate of being thrown away. I, however, do not use it, never plan to and should probably sell it. Admittedly, I do not find the artwork within this deck to be appealing.
