Scrying Stones

Okay, I just bought for the first time my own scrying stone.
Rose Quartz
Clear Quartz
Amethyst Quartz

Are these three good for scrying? And is one over the other better?

I think I got a good deal on these. All together, they cost 45$, separate, they were 15$ each.

They are all good for scrying, but IMO the best depends on your personal preference. I don't do much scrying, but when I do I use a clear quartz point. Get to know them, ask them if they (one or all) would like to scry for you. You will probably find one that is your favorite. There are some people that have multiple pendulums and use each for different purposes. But that is beyond my current knowledge as I am still somewhat a beginner.

Well, I've officially used all three, and I found the one that worked the best was the Amethyst.
That must be my stone, b/c Amethyst is the only one I can meditate with.

excellent scrying stones are obsidians, especially black and rainbow obsidians

out of the three you got, clar quartz or amethyts over rosequartz

really I've got a fairly large rainbow obsidian I just love...but could never find any info about it.

clear quartz is a popular choice for scrying...amethyst is related to the 3rd eye and that kind of stuff so I would think it would work well for that purpose.

obsidian tends to be a little hard to first start scrying with because of it being hard to
look within the middle of,as well as if the lightings not just right,all it looks like is a peice of
onyx."all of this is my personal experience atlest".
i would say go take a trip to walmart,buy a small circular picture frame,and use the peice of
plastic that holds the picture in place flip it over spray paint it black "smoothly",flip it back over
"painted side within the frame" and work with that instead.
in my experiences what works is being able to look within the object not through it.

No luck finding any obsidian.
I've had great luck with Amethyst when it comes to meditation, scrying, and stone dvination, so I think I'll stick to that.
I don't like the rose quartz for scrying, per se, but for simple questions, it's worked.
The clear quartz is best for other realm things. ;)

I started out with a large nice clear quartz crystal but i find now that i can do my best with an obsidian carved ball which is very nice and soothing to me as well.

i slightly envy you for the obsidian ball, but what also works great is a rough apachee tear that is open on one side .... its smoke obsidian.... but too strong for some. guess it wouldnt be too stzrong for you though, wolfscout

i bought a rose quartz yesterday but its only small. A $4 one. how do i scry with it? i once read something about putting the stone in the bottom of a bowel of water....is that right? what should i do?
