2 TOUGH QUESTIONS
Question 1:
If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?
Read the next question before looking at the response for this one.
Question 2:
It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three candidates.
Candidate A.
Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologist. He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.
Candidate B.
He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.
Candidate C
He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.
Which of these candidates would be your choice? Decide first...
no peeking, then scroll down for the response.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Candidate B is Winston Churchill.
Candidate C is Adolph Hitler.
And, by the way, on your answer to the abortion question: If you said YES, you just killed Beethoven.
Pretty interesting isn't it? Makes a person think before judging someone.
Wait till you see the end of this note! Keep reading...
Never be afraid to try something new.
Remember: Amateurs...built the ark.
Professionals...built the Titanic
And Finally, can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics:
* 29 have been accused of spousal abuse
* 7 have been arrested for fraud
* 19 have been accused of writing bad checks
* 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
* 3 have done time for assault
* 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
* 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
* 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
* 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
* 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year...
Can you guess which organization this is?
Give up yet?
It's the 535 members of the United States
Congress. The same group
that crank out hundreds of new laws each year
designed to keep the
rest of us in line.

I've seen the Beethoven one before. It was some online test. I ended up killing him.
As for the world leader one, I couldn't decide.
"Remember: Amateurs...built the ark."
I just want to say that there is scientific evidence that the arc was never built.:D
But I can't remember the link. (It was given by a scientist on another forum). If I can find it, perhaps I'll post it. ;)

Actually, the ark was actually a shipping vessel from ancient Babylon, the flood story is a lot older than people think ;)
Oh, and it was built by profession shipwrights, not amateurs :p

I think a woman should have an abortion if the news of pregnacy is'nt the greatest thing because that is how important each child is .No child should be born without the greatest love. The greatest love is that of a mother.
I like Franklin Roosevelt. Personal relationships should'nt matter. All politicians are potental criminals.Baccus,Dionysis and pan are wise

1.) My answer to question one would be; No. I would not recommend that she have an abortion. I am personally against it. However, she would only be asking for my advice. She has the choice only to herself. I would not be making it for her. (Looks like my moral views saved a wonderful man).
2.) I picked Candidate number 2 before looking at the answer.
Very interesting questions.

Yes but the movies about the Titanic are better than movies about the ark. :hahugh:

I never heard that either. Interesting though.
I remember watching or reading something that mentioned he had an
opium addiction too.
Eye opening questions though.

Candidate C
He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.
Candidate C is Adolph Hitler.
Well, he hardly had a chance to cheat on his wife. He and Eva Braun committed suicide 2 days after they were married. He did however have numerous affairs while he was seeing Braun. 2 of the women he was interested in attempted suicide (including Braun) and 2 women actually committed suicide. He was reported to have said that he became a vegetarian because the sight of meat reminded him of the 2nd woman that committed suicide.
Sometimes what looks good on the surface is very, very BAD. But that is what this tread is about isn't it! :deviltail :lilangel:

Not trying to make myself seem intelligent or humanitarian or anything but the first question I had about the first question was "How is that my decision?"
As for the second, well I thought; "How in the world can I make that decision without any information on their political record or stances on the issues?"
Anyway, nice bit of thought provoking. :)

If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?
Not hard.
I wouldn't make any recommendations. I would let her make up her own mind and exercise her right to choice. Might recommend that she visits the local pox doctor though...
It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three candidates.
Which of these candidates would be your choice? Decide first...
Couldn't possibly decide. I don't choose politicians on the basis of their private lives, but on the basis of their politics.
Probably a good thing too, looking at the information about the Congress.
