i ate chicken for dinner, and then i went to give my kitty her medicine. she smelled the chicken on my breath and tried to stick her head in my mouth, so i took a little piece of the chicken, put it between my lips, and let her eat it. that went well, but she was greedy and wanted another piece. so i opened my mouth to show her that there was no food inside, and she reached up and bit my upper lip! her top tooth made a nasty jagged cut about 1 cm right down the center of my lip, and her bottom tooth made another cut inside my lip, but that one wasn't so long or deep. this was 5-10 minutes ago, and it hasn't stopped bleeding! oh well, at least i know to brush my teeth after eating and before dealing with that little gremlin... ah well, she's so adorable, i can't stay mad at her long, and she is a special needs kitty for now...

it was adorable, up until the point where her teeth went through my lip... i love it when cats give me kisses, or even just sniff my lips or whatnot, because they look so adorable from that point of view, but this really hurt! feel free to laugh if you want, thats why i posted this..

Haha... my cats have bitten me many times, but never on the lips. I have had an eye almost poked out several times though.
I guess I just like the mean ones.
They're the most fun. :muwaha:

Wow,My kitty pounced on my bald head and bit my ear out of pure meanness, and clawwed my face,I slapped the snot out of her the 2nd time and she hasnt done it since. She doesnt come near my face unless im holding her,I hated to slap her,but couldnt risk loosing an eye because of her,I love my kitty.
Now all I have to do is say NO,and she knows that means NO.My son says ya cant slap kittys around like ya can dogs, and I have always been a dog person,so Im kinda new to kitty things. My kitty cuddles up with me when I am typing, but yesterday she chewed my mouse cord in two,and I didnt see when she did it so there is nothing I could do about it.So I put up all my loose cords and keep them in a cabinet.
She follows me everywhere I go.But she loves to bite my hand,I let her some,so long as she doesnt chomp down too hard,if she does I just say NO in a mean way and she knows that its time to stop.I dont like to speak mean to her though.

well, i made a banner, just for that little brat... she thinks of me as her mommy... she's sick and is isolated from the other kitties, her littermates all died from what she has, but she's a fighter... She isn't really mine, i'm just fostering her until she's well and can find a permanent home. of course, she did befriend my rabbit yesterday, which was odd because the rabbit is aggressive and antisocial. she wanted to snuggle with someone, so i put her in with the rabbit, and she cuddled... i supervised them the whole time, but the rabbit just sniffed her, and nuzzled her, and that was it. then the rabbit bit me, but thats a different story... anyways, i have to put up with all the random things this cat does because she's so sick and i'm really all she's got, and she's too adorable for me to yell at her...

Your Rabbit sounds like my old Rabbit, Bugsy. He was so grumpy and hated me but I loved him anyway. *grins* He used to bite me and turn his back on me all the time like 'get away from me, I hate you' he used to do it to pretty much everyone else too though, and to my sister's rabbit Bun-Bun. He loved me with affection on rare occasions when he thought no one was looking.

Never try to pick up a cat watching a vacuum cleaner, even if you're within it's range of sight.
Let's see, she jumped as I picked her up, I have a scar across my chest from one claw, a permanant new line in my hand for palm readers to be confused by since it doesn't really look like a scar, and the cat in it's reaction of shock and fear managed to get her claw CAUGHT INSIDE my mouth on the lower lip.
I'm here holding this struggling cat who is trying to get it's claw unhooked from my lip inside my mouth, I'm trying to keep her FROM struggling while yelling around her paw for help to get her claw loose, but it sounds like a arbled "MMPPHMMM HLlLEELLFFF MMMEEEEEE!!!!" Which serves to scare the poor cat even worse and renew her frantic struggles.
Finally got help and we managed to get her claw uncaught, although I still have a scar inside my mouth as well....
At least after her initial fright when I picked her up she didn't try to USE her OTHER claws in self-defense, she was just struggling to get away, otherwise I'm sure the damage would have been much worse. But now we look back and it's kind of funny.
There are two morals to this story:
Leave cats watching vacuum cleaners alone.
AND
Cats don't make good lip jewelry.

My cat bites me, normally when I pet her and she doesn't want to be touched.

Just be careful it doesn't get infected from the bacteria inside the cat's mouth, since he broke the skin. Cat bites are more likely to get infected than dog bites.
That being said, my kitty "bites" me to show affection. He doesn't bite hard, but he will come nuzzle his head against me and nip me, then lick me. Who knows? Maybe I'm just tastey.
