Gracious Goddess, now is the time of change. Now do we leave the light and enter the darkness. Yet do we do so gladly, for we know it to be but the turning of the Wheel of the Year.
Mother to us all, in this time of the year, a time for ridding ourselves of weaknesses, I humbly asked you what weaknesses I should place upon this altar to be removed. I waited and heard your voice.
It is my wish, that once these are placed upon this altar, they forever be banished from my heart:
- The neglecting of my health, both spiritually and physically.
- Believing that my depression is a safehaven and fearing the possibility of being seen by the world.
- The negative thoughts I sometimes have towards my sister.
- Ignoring your voice within me, leading me into the light.
- Living in stagnation.
- Blaming others and blaming my unworthiness for my failures.
- Using food or material items to sustain emotional hungers.
- Losing faith that the Goddess is with me always, and that it is thy will, not my will.
- Living selfishly.
-Disregarding the love received from others, for it is genuine.
-Disregarding the love received from the Goddess, for her love in unconditional.
I place my weaknesses on this altar, and ask that they be purge from my life, my body, and my spirit. I ask that you instead fill me with healing love and light, so that I may rebuild and start anew.
I ask that you guard me, and guard us in all that we do, lead us through hardship, and bring us with hope into the light.
I send these words forth.
And bring it into being.
So Mote it be.
