I need your help.

I've been working through my own class just lately and when I hit Hod I worked out that a huge part of my inner peroblems is bassed around the constant battle of my two opposing sides. On one side we have my sun signe of Libra and on the other we have the ascendant side of Aries. Now as much as I love my Libra part since I love being the I am Love apart of me I find it very hard to like the I am Me side of my Aries persona. I need to find out the posative things that Aries gives to my personality so that I can give it a bit more recognition in my own self. To often I supress that Aries tenasity with my Libra softness. I tend to have had very negative experiances with people who are Aries, being the baby of the family Aries I find to be terribly self centered and selfish a lot of the time. A fact which my selfless and giveing Libra side really finds quite ugly, espechialy since now I find it in myself. Any help you can give me towards finding the posative aspects Aries gives me will be wonderful.

Oh an if you're an Aries please don't take offence at anything detrimental I might have said about Aries they are just aspects that I find most difficult to deal with within myself. If you are an Aries what do you love about it? What qualities does it give you? Help me find the posatives because right now I'm struggling to like myself as much as once I did.

I'm not sure I can give you a great deal of advice here; but speaking as an Aries I can honestly say that many people like the flaming personality that comes hand in hand with my starsign. I love being spontaneous, passionate and creative-- try not to forget that these useful and enjoyable gifts come hand in hand with the impatience and selfishness of the Aries sign.

Aries, like all signs has its negatives and positives. You are unlucky enough to have it opposite your Ascendant. What do I mean? Well, since you sound like your working with Kabbalisitc concepts here, let me phrase this that way.

The Ascendant is like Malkuth - it's how you present yourself to the outer world. It may not match your inner self, but it is a vital part of who you are. On the other had we have the Sun, which can likened to Tiphareth - a part of your inner self. Just like Tiphareth mediates energies on the Middle Pillar, so your Sun mediates the expression of energies in the rest of your chart.

So who you truly are is at odds with who you present yourself to be. You tend to give your personal power over to others. Partnership is important to you and certainly should not be discarded, but you need to find a better balance between your independent streak and your willingness to help others (who might not be as forgiving of your energies!)

Aries is ruled by the planet Mars (Geburah). It's the drive, the energy that keeps you going - the strong arm of the Tree and the heavens, so to speak. So that intensity is part of what rules Aries. It's about personal related things - one's own energy and such. The positive aspects include enthusiasm, confidence, dynamic self-expression, courage and pioneering (starting new things).

As an Arian, you like a challenge that will stir you to action. This challenge may just be frustration; or at a more controlled level, you may have clear direction and know what or whom you're fighting for.

So I think if you try to accept your Arian side as Kether (I am) as opposed to the Libran Binah (understanding) you'll find more balance.

btw: watch for reproductive issues and your female health with this configuration. I'm studying a trend right now of women who have their Sun opposing their Ascendant - they tend to have problems bearing children.

As an astrologer: The Aries AC is not nessesarily you. The ascendent is often seen as the mask that you wear in general society, so when people first meet you, you give off the impression of someone who is sure of themselves, a leader. Additionally, it makes me wonder if you have any planets in your first house and where your Mars is located.

As a person with a strong Aries/Libra polarity going: I feel for you. The key to working with oppositions is to understand that both sides are valid and to embrace one but ignore the other will cause more problems than solutions.

What Aries do have is a beautiful optimism that always gives another person the benefit of the doubt, that really wants to believe the best in other people. There is so much generosity mixed in with the "me first" tendency- I really don't know how it works but it's always there.

Aries men tend to drive me a bit up the wall because there is more of the "me, I, myself" thing going on than with the women. Or at least that's what clicks with us. The men I've knows tend to take that attitude for themselves, while the Aries women tend to include me in their dreams and optimism.

There are good qualities buried in with the headaches.

Thank you for linking this in the Kabalh for me that helped a lot but I think you miss understood me Libra is my Sun signe Aries is my Acsendant. I don't think it really matters though which way round it it since it's poor old Aries that gets ignored for the most part. I think your advice helped anyway since it let me see a few of the posatives Aries brings to me.

In help with your own studies I have a few things to add regarding female health issues and opposing Sun and Acsendant signes. I had to try for four years to get pregnant with my son and have never even had a close shave since then and he's 11 now. I don't ovulate every month, my cycle is often erratic and I'm possibly heading towards early menapaus. I am 35 in October but have been suffering signes of early menapaus for the last 5 years. I got steralized 3 years ago in September since the pill was messing me up totaly and I just wanted to forget about it all and get on with just being me. Is that enough information for you there is other stuff I can tell you about but I think that would have to be in PM

I can give you my birthchart that Fluff did for me if that helps. I don't have a huge amount of planets over there most of them are in the over to the Libra side. I'll post the birthchart for you since I'd love to hear what you have to say about it in this situation.

You are quite right that yes I do tend to show a very self confidant face to the world and on the whole I am self confidant just not very self presenting. I lock away my feelings behind an empathic love for others so my own feelings tend to get forgotten about or pushed to one side to be dealt with later. Though I love a lot of me I have a lot of problems letting that free spirit of Aries come to the for. Thank you for the help in this I really could use it

Your welcome about the Kabbalah stuff. But that was intended to show that Aries is your AC. Sorry if there was any confusion. :awwman:

In help with your own studies . . . Is that enough information for you there is other stuff I can tell you about but I think that would have to be in PM

Thanks for the info - that does help! Mostly I've found this configuration gives one problems conceiving, early menopause, difficulty bearing children or ovarian failure. My own mother has this configuration, so that's why I started studying it after I watxched her suffer through much of the same thing.

Well it looks like I've experianced all those things myself also so I'd say you have at good sound basise for your theories.

I don't know if taking a look at my chart will help much in getting me in touch more with Aries but it's up there for you to take a look at incase.

I sent this by PM, but since there's a thread I'll post my thoughts here too!

With all that stuff in Libra, you're very much the Libra - your Aries Ascendant isn't the "real you", your Sun is. Some of us prefer to play out our Ascendant rather than the Sun (for example, I'm Pisces Sun, Leo rising - and Leo *is* more fun than Pisces!).

Remember, Aries Ascendants are very rare for those of us born in northern latitudes - Aries rises very quickly (in about 40 minutes), so celebrate your rare Ascendant!

Libra isn't always "nice", anyway - Libra has been described as "an iron fist in a velvet glove". Libra can manipulate by being "nice", and likes to get its own way just as much as Aries - after all, Libra is a cardinal sign too! I have my Moon in Libra, and I'm not above a bit of emotional (Moon) blackmail!

The only thing you have in Aries is Chiron - near the Ascendant - so perhaps this is why you don't like your Aries; you feel it's "wounded".

As you have an Aries Ascendant, this means your chart ruler is Mars. Mars is in Virgo, conjunct Pluto but part of a Grand Trine involving Moon and Saturn. This isn't a bad Mars - perhaps you are a bit wary of that Mars because he's close to Pluto, which may make it feel a bit manipulative. However, this is a potent combination - the trine to Saturn means you can put your Mars (drive and ambition) to good use.

We're all selfish from time to time - Libra might want to beat you up over that, but sometimes it's necessary to say "no, sometimes I just want something for ME", and that's fine. Why not try honouring your Mars by wearing something made of iron (or steel) for a while, or wearing something red. Haematite is a good crystal to work with.

How's your Geburah? On the "too soft too hard" scale of Geburah/Chesed, where do you lie? Do your Libra planets make you too soft even if that means people are walking all over you? Or does that Aries Ascendant make you too unforgiving? The Middle Pillar exercises can help you balance these - and of course that's what Libra *should* be about. All too often though, Libra isn't actually about balance but about tipping the scales too far in the "nice" direction. Libra isn't "nice" - or at least shouldn't be. Libra should be balanced - and that means giving consideration to other people, but not to the extent that they walk all over you.

Thank you Fluff honey :hugz:

So much of what you said makes sence to me and it all helps towards nurturing the Inner Aries Child a little. Poor little lost child forgotten in the basement, it's dirty, smelly and hard to love, but like any child all it really wants is a bit of attention. I'm going to finger paint
