  1. Vegan store visit!

by , May 25th, 2012 at 06:32 AM (Coffee With Ĉon - caffeine fueled musings.)

I finally got a visit in to The Green Edge in Brisbane with my firend/cousin-in-law. It was a visit that went above expectation. The place is amazing, the cafe food is brilliant and so were the selection of products. One I am utterly in love with is the HURRAW! lip balm. I got two of them, root beer flavour and the black cherry one. The black cherry is slightly tinted so it gives just a smidgen of colour to ones lips. And the balm doesn't wear ...

  2. Planning

I've decided to try a new project wherein I put my old ritual book aside and begin a new one. It's time to shed the old one because things have changed and you just have to move on sometimes.

I'm planning on getting a handmade book at the Ren Fair again, but that requires some saving, on top of the saving I want to do for the roommate's costume. It'll take some scrimping but I think it might be manageable. Maybe.

  4. Yerns

This weekend we wound up at Sophie's Fine Yarn Shoppe (again). We went home with bamboo yarn, Zauberball, and Mountain Colors wool/silk blend. The Mountain Colors was so long and is laceweight to boot, so I couldn't hope to nostepinne it comfortably. I had the ladies wind the gorgeous skein into a hank that looks like barf because now all the colors are mixed up. 600 yards of wool/silk lace yarn. SHAWLS!! I've already narrowed the patterns down to a flower-and-leaf lace OR a Greek key revivial shawl. ...

  5. Tea and knitting, again...

by , May 21st, 2012 at 05:30 AM (Coffee With Ĉon - caffeine fueled musings.)
It's a good thing to do when one has some time left over. I am going to knit while watching episodes of House and sipping on tea. Rose and french vanilla again. It smells like the cupcakes I used to make. Omnomnom.

I am making a "video response" on youtube tomorrow for one of the larger users I am subscribed to. This time I promised one. It is regarding Veganism. I have to make it. The only other video response is quite juvenile.

    I am surprised there aren't ...
