    Wulfcwin and I talked about weather or not I should post this but after doing my very best to get ahold of the author and it was posted in the Chants thread where other people gave permission it was decided I was ok with using it.

    Airmed: Goddess of Herbcraft chant.

    Sage, Basil, Parsley
    Healing, helping, hurting
    Care for the herbs
    O Airmed.

    Rosemary, Thyme, Basil
    Wisdom, health, sight
    Care for the wellness
    O Airmed.

    Star Anise, Saffron, White Peppercorns
    Thought, inspiration, ideas
    Care for the poets
    O Airmed.

    Herbs that grow on a beloved's grave
    Sharing the knowledge to heal and hurt
    Give the gift of such knowledge
    O Airmed.

    Trickling vines of leafy thoughts
    Flowering patches of love long-tended
    Years of life long-forgotten
    Care for the herbs
    O Airmed.

    Willowbark, Sage, Oregano
    Love, Light, Life
    Care for me
    O Airmed.

    Pan

    I think it is beautiful and absolutly perfect for this assignment.

    Mine is very simple, a poem, something to note the elements when I cook. I am not too good at rhyming but I tried! I also made more verses but they got too diluted with mentions of kitchen wares and such.

    God and Goddess, as they have blessed
    My life with warmth, my life with breath.
    The hearth that brings me closer to fire,
    Conjures strong energy around me.
    The cauldron draws me closer to the sea,
    The bubbling brew that heals me.
    The savory scents roaming in the air
    My creative self unfolds with grace,
    And the herbs the earth that I prepare
    Will nurture my home place.

    Well, mine's a little more poem-like, not very chanty, really, but here's my go.

    *Ahem*

    In my kitchen, peace shall reign;
    a refuge in both sun and rain.
    Feel the calm when you enter here;
    your worries fade and your mind becomes clear.
    Full of cheer and brightly lit;
    where this current poem was writ.
    Herb bunches dry upon the wall;
    my altar in the window where Brigid I call.
    The cupboards are never empty now;
    ingredients and books which teach me how.
    Basil and salt, sugar and thyme;
    I keep my kitchen free of grime.
    Sauces and cakes, meals and treats;
    seasonings to sweeten my meats.
    My kitchen also sometimes contains
    something spiritual, beyond the mundane.
    Infusions are brewed and poppets are stuffed,
    and healing herbal tea is always a must.
    O my kitchen, hear my plea ~
    Help me always be the best witch I can be.

    Thanks

    Symbol of the Moon,
    Symbol of the Lady Divine,
    These herbs be blessed by your Light,
    These herbs be charged by your might
    They brings us nurishment and insight,
    Health and protection, calmness and peace.
    They bless my home, they bless me and mine.
