    Another soap question...

    When adding things like witch hazel, would I just calculate it as part of my water? Or do I only use a few drops like I would with oils? *confused* lol

    Anyone? lol... I guess I'd just do it as water, but how would the alcohol react with the lye? O_o

    Why are you adding witch hazel to soap? I've never heard of that.

    Using witch hazel, or aloe vera or any bulky liquid (even honey or milk) replace the water, up to 1/2 cup.

    for essential oils, a drop or two.

    witchazel is a great astringent. I use it in shaving soaps particularly.
