Lapis has Pyrite, not Tourquoise. What I think you may have is Sodalite. *runs off to find photo*

What kind of texture does it have? (might be hard to answer with polished stones), crystalline, veryu brittle, comes apart in flat slivers, but very strong otherwise (like you can drop it and not take a pice off it)
What color, or colors does it appear to be? black to a dark bluey grey when dusty
Is there anything unusual about it? other than it comes apart the way it does and has a very minimal lustre to it, no
Does it have any patterns? (lines, spots, ect.) no
    Mica?

    Little Carved Horse

I've got a little carved horse, but I'm not sure what it is, it's medium I guess, its clearish-white with some gold streaks here and there, kind of crystalish, its polished and I know next to nothing about stones. It was given to me for christmas, and my camera isn't working so i can't send a pic.

Might be Rutilated Quartz. Does it have a coloring like this? Looking forward to your reply!

here is one for you ...

I found this cat at an op shop. It is beautiful, heavy, smooth, light green and has bands of light brown running through it.
Sorry the pics are so bad but it is night time here and this camera only likes to take pics during the day...
