    Incense Magick

How many people on here practice incense magick? I do. What I do is I find an incense that matches the needs that I want based on their magickal properties and then I burn it with a blessing from the God and Goddess. To me, it is a kind of simple spell that I can cast.

I've found that making my own incense really helps. Planning out what I'm going to use really helps me focus on what I'm doing :D

Lighting incense is probably similar to lighting a candle - the energy in it can hold your intent, and spread your purpose. (Hopefully not to the curtains...!)

This really isn't that revolutionary. It's been a fairly common practice for my entire Witchy career, and in Asia many people burn incense (minus the correspondence correlation to this example) believing the smoke will carry their prayers and requests up to Heaven, which can be a way of simplifying the technique even further when you throw out correspondences all together and use say, a general incense which is believed to be sacred (such as frankincense).

i do this sort of magic. i also make my own incense of sorts and i've found
that it helps me focus on my goals and achieve them. i light incense with nearly every spell i do.
