    Question I have to admit...

...in all my days and readings I haven't heard of incense magick !
Candle magick, I've heard of and to be honest I never thought
there's enough info on candle magick to warrant a whole book
Oh sure, with corrospondences and days of the week, timing...etc
I guess one can fill a book with...this is how you do it after an
    hour of meditation and...
On a spur of the moment purchase thru Amazon.com I ordered
Candle Magick Workbook by Kala & Ketz Pajeon; I'm half way thru it and haven't gotten to the "magick stuff" yet !
None of my books or friends have ever mentioned Incense magick...can someone reccommend a book on this ? An author ?
I choose to work with candle magick since my accident has left me so far unable to concentrate for very long.

I've not read it yet, but Anna Riva's got a book "Magic with Incense and Powders." I've read a similar book of hers about oils and liked it, so I assume it's done in similar mode.

I have heard of this form of spells. but I prefer to use herbs and resins therefore, have never tried it for actual spell casting myself, although I do burn incense while casting spells.

I never say never, so I may just try it out one day!

Often times simple spells call for the use of incenses or herbs..so this isn't a revolutionary method or anything. You essentially charge the herbs (along with their ineherited properties) with your intent, and release them. I'm assuming by incense you mean loose incense/resins. So yeah this is common.

Funny though..this thread kind of made me realize something. Almost all of the magic I do (when I do), involves the use of herbs. I guess that makes me in a way..a Green Witch..eh?

Anyway, making your own incense out of loose herbs is simple, and even fun, so to all those new to it have at it . Just remember..as someone previously stated, what really makes it work is your ability to focus your intent and charge the herbs with it. Also of course..if you make your own incense out of herbs...research it first, as some herbs are toxic when burned.

Someone dies.. Someone lives. In pain.
    It is burning, into the thin air;
Of the nature, of a culture..
    On the dark side..
    Under the moon..
    the wolves gather..

I love it. I even have a book on incense magick I got years ago. It list every type of incense, and what it is used for and a spell or two for each one.

I do burn insence almost nightly and spread the scent around my room, when thats all good and done, I place it in my insence holder and turn off the lights.

I find that if you focus on the cherried end to the point of "zoning out" and meditate after it puts me into a deeper much more calm state.

I also have dabbled in incense magick, good stuff
